People u gotta check this one out, i got it on d internet, when we c these people on our small screens and d fact dat they are leadin us we just give 'em credit and say yeah they are educatated only to findout that the ANC Youth League President Julius Malema scraped through matric with an H in maths and a G in woodwork, both on the Standard Grade (SG).

While the league has branded the emailed list of Malema's lacklustre results as a "faked" attempt to discredit him, Independent Newspapers has established that the results are real.

A senior source at the department of education this week confirmed that a digital copy of Malema's results is "genuine".

The email reveals that Malema, 27, passed matric with Es in Sepedi HG and second language Afrikaans HG, an F in geography HG, D in history SG and a C in second language English HG, the latter being his highest mark.

No, he just spews bile when he speaks and he does not think about the consequences thereof. One must look at his role models to understand him. the late Peter Mokaba of the infamous "Kill the Boer" utterance. I am sure he has got a brain, he is just being like any other Youth League president before him. Controversy is their second nature.

I think Malema is doing all this bcoz he want to earn a good position under Mr. Zuma's cabinet when he is not a youth anymore, and i think it is disrespectful to talk like that in public becouse he suppose to be exampulary to the youth and other people.

but i wont complain coz it's a men duty to set an example!!

our president in waiting JZ never had formal schooling but he is one of the most intelligent people I know.

Andi01... my friend, i think we have to give credit when it is due(irregardless whether we like or dont like a person), Im not good in politics but It can only take a very much intelligent person to be where JZ is without any formal education..

Well that part of him sleeping with a hiv+ person was very ignorant for a person like him but that doesnt actual raise the fact that he is intelligent.

im not good in politics and doesnt know much about them, so i wont be able to get into debate about it...was just saying my view

LOL @Cande .... i heard that some of those people were not even the members of the ANC and some cards are not ANC membership cards... so i guess that had a lot to do with transfering the giving-up-on-ANC spirit to other members.

the guys/girls who were into politics where not really doing well in their academic work, but i think it was more to do with not having time for the books than to do with intelligency...

I think has changed from the merits of Malema as both a human being and a leader to the importance of Education and its refining qualities-

I am educated,and I cant be embarassed by the fact that I know a lot about the Great Trek and Vasco da Gama-and ANYONE who will tell me that it wasnt important must definately be ignorant to the importance of History and how,or why Vasco discovered the Cape of Storms,or even why the Hugenots moved inland....

Pity that such lessons are evident EVERYDAY,just that to defend other people's right to be dumb and miseducated has taken precedence over common sense.

I think the matric results of JM shouldnt be the issue here, whats more important is that he got to where he is today with those results and he didnt put himself there, HE WAS VOTED TO THE POSITION. Further more JZ clearly said that he didnt go to school for what he knows today, he learnt it all by himself. Shouldnt he be given credit for that????

there's a difference between intelligent people and educated ones.

most people got where they r because of education, the problem with us is that we measure people's intelligence by the level of their education.

we must also remember that most top governement jobs are given to people because of their struggle credentials, not because of their level of education or their intelligence.

you cannot crucify people bcos of their lack of education.

intelligence comprises of common sense, and common sense says that u cannot go public and say u'd kill for someone in a country where crime is so rife.
common sense says that u cannot sleep with an HIV person without using a condom, after shower or no shower you just don't do that. common sense says that u don't say a party will rule until Jesus comes, that has never happened anywhere else. common sense says that you speak and respect your elders(State president and Desmond tutu). common sense says you don't sing mchini wami, what are you going to do with it, and then complain about the level of crime in the country, when u're encouraging people to use their machine gun.
