Well, well, well, here we are AGAIN - just when everyone thought they were safely through to round 9. Along came a computer glitch ...
So now thanks to Rapid Blue’s integrity they have admitted their mistake and reinstated TEAM 10 for round number 10 - the semi-final.
Our problem right now though is that we have lost out on at least 24 hours worth of votes due to the fact that our team members thought we were eliminated and what’s worse, some of the team have actually voted for opposition couples believing that we were knocked out.
A
press release went out on Friday afternoon however it missed the deadline for most weekend papers and therefore some of them still carried reports of our demise from the show.
My manager, loving fiancé and fellow tvsa blogger JAX is currently working around the clock to salvage what she can of her incredibly efficient marketing plan which was effectively scuttled by Strictly Come Dancing’s computer error. Thank you Jackie.
My first phone call after receiving the news on Friday was to Jackie who’s immediate response was “of course you’re going back” after which I called Hayley and asked whether she could cope with me for another two weeks so that we could go and claim our title, her reply was much along the same lines as Jackie’s after consulting with Warren, her fiancé.
TEAM 10 is back and still putting 200% into our training for the paso doble and the tango. Surprisingly enough our choice of music for both dances are VERY apt considering the circumstances, and the music was actually chosen BEFORE the whole computer fiasco.
We plan on having our dance routines “toight like a tiger” on Thursday with our eyes firmly on the finish line to satisfy the teams goal of becoming champions of Strictly Come Dancing season 5.
We obviously missed out on training on Friday due to us “not being in the competition” and, with my current shoot schedule, the rest of the week is going to be a bit of a ‘mare so we put in 8 hours on Saturday and on Sunday.
Believe it or not, it definitely seems as though my body and brain are finally starting to work together here as we have already almost completed the choreography of both dances, WOW - that’s got me running around with such a great big smile on my dial that you couldn’t punch it off if you were Rocky Balboa. I think I’m doing a great rendition of a PEZ dispenser right now.
Got a call from Rob van Vuuren on Saturday asking whether they had to chop my head off and drive a wooden stake through my heart to get rid of me, BWHAHAHAHA. What a gentleman you are Rob my friend, really do appreciate the honest welcome back onto the floor. Break a leg guy and may the best MAN win. ;)
This is about the shortest blog EVER but as you can all imagine things are kind of freaky for us TEAM 10 figureheads at the moment and my head has hit the keyboard twice while I’m typing this so I’m going to sign off now but will hopefully get some time to add more thoughts later in the week.
I knew that TEAM 10 would NEVER allow us to be in a dance off and the dreaded computer has proven one thing for sure - WE HAVE TO STAY OUT OF THAT DANCE OFF GUYS AND KEEP THE DECISION AWAY FROM THE JUDGES!
PLEASE KEEP SMS ing 10 to 34766.
God Bless you all and once again , thank you all for your continued support and votes.
