Besides their cover, which I think takes the prize for :
WORST MAGAZINE COVER OF 2008....
....and one that I think Sophie should take up with them! I mean, is that the best shot they had?
We all know Sophie's beautiful mara this picture yona....aowa!
I don't know if it's the make up or what but I don't think this one should have made it to the cover.
The December/January 09 issue of SOUL MAGAZINE features an interview with Mshoza, where she, amongst other things, denies that she ever said ukuthi Lebo Mathosa taught her lesbianism. (she also says that she's never been with a girl and I don't know why it's so hard for me to believe it...lol)
I enjoy reading Q & A typa interviews so I was okay with the interview until the last question. It sort of gave me the idea that she's angry about something. Also, I don't know if I'm reading too much into it but I kinda smelt beef-nyana....maybe with Chomee? Anyway, here's what I'm talking about.....
I
Q: What do you want your fans and people out there to know about you? MSHOZA: I want them to know that I’ve made mistakes in the past and no-one should judge me because of my past.
If they are unclear about some rumour they read about me, they mustn’t be scared to approach me. Obviously the media is not giving them facts.
They should know that I’m 25 years old, turning 21 very soon; I have four lovely kids and a husband I love. I want to keep my marriage private so no-one should ask me about details of my marriage. (yeah right, you talk a lot about it though)
I own my own company, so if you think you’re talented, try and find me. I like seeing people succeed. (try and find you? tjo!)
I love my family.
I don’t take rubbish because I’m still ghetto like that. My new album is called Queen of Kwaito. I’m the first lady to do kwaito in this generation. They can take the other titles like Queen of Dance. But as for kwaito, I’m the undisputed queen and there’s no point in fighting about it. If anyone has a problem with that, they must call me and I’ll challenge them with my lyrics and on the dance floor.
And to the artists, you’re not obliged to greet me. Stop faking. If you don’t feel like saying ‘hi’, walk on. (???)
One last thing – if it’s in the tabloid newspapers, it’s probably not true
Ends.
So what do you make of that underlined statement? Am I the only one who thinks we are supposed to read something out of that?
............I loved the way she answered this next one though........
Q: And those who are saying you are trying to be like Lebo?
MSHOZA: Is it because of the blonde hair? People are just wasting my time. They’ve accused everyone of trying to be like Lebo. They’ve accused Kelly Khumalo, Khanyi, everyone. Even when Brenda passed away, they said Lebo was trying to be Brenda. So that stuff doesn’t bother me at all.
