Coming up on 3rd Degree:

Episode: The Story Of Najwa Petersen
Broadcast date: 9 December 2008 at 20h00
Channel: e.tv
Repeated: 21h00 on the eNews Channel

It's been one of South Africa’s most sensational murder trials, with a cast and script to rival the most popular soapies. Daily, for the duration of the trial in the Cape High Court, onlookers and sensation-seekers crammed the gallery as Najwa Petersen and her three co-accused faced charges of murdering the much-loved entertainer Taliep Petersen.

Last week Justice Siraj Desai announced his verdict: Najwa Peterson had cruelly and intentionally murdered her husband with the help of two of her co-accused. The motive, he said, was money.

Tonight 3rd Degree traces the lies and controversies that marked this high-profile trial, a trial that at one stage got so heated family members almost came to blows on the court room steps during the bail hearing.

I watched this yesterday - I havent been following the trial for the past 2 years, but after last nights show I am convinved that Najwa is guilty!! I mean, she was claiming that she had temporary memory loss and she also claimed that the reason she called the guy who apparently organise everything just minutes before her husband was killed was to ask about the money that he owed her, and she called this guy more that ten times. Really now Najwa!!!

good day , iam one of the viwers who are grieving for the similar story like najwa peterson. my  uncle was recently killed in march and there has been no follow up on his murder. i would be gland if my story would reach the ears of those who are able to expose the killers , firsly my uncle was a tax owner and he was doing well in his business, was not legally married but had a customary wife who was the only person  with him during the night of his death. all we know ,is what she told us ,according to her two guys wearing police uniforms kicked the kitchen door and demaded money from him. i have a couple of questions to consider , firstly if these were people who came to rob why was she not hurt yet she was naked ,the door doesnot seem to be kicked but slided from inside. when we arrived on the scene she was calm no tears for someone who was there when her husband was killed . secondly after the funeral she started to take the famaly to the court claming certain things like his vehicles . if any one out there could hear my cry ,i beg any one who can offer to help this was my uncle who was shot dead in his head while sleeping
my contact is 2750352@uwc.co.za , 0725458980. this took place in mfuleni cape town . moreover the other tax driver are siding with her as they removed his taxes from operating with out informing the family.

go on the webside Department of Justice, there are contact numbers there and e-mail adress. e-mail your story and the case number to the Head of the Department, and ask for the case to be investigated.

you can also try and get the numbers for the  special assignment tell them your story.

Good luck ,dont give up until justice is done.

numba numba have ya'll tried the police? "those who are able to expose the killers" cannot expose anything if there's no suspects arrested unless its some investigative journalist who moolights as a police officer. or yall should complain to sum senior captain of the police if ur case ain't being properly attended to. make noise someone might hear you.
