I've heard a lot of stories about what a horrible coach Muhsin Ertugral is & how he terrorizes the players but eish, he's my coach maan & he looks great in jeans so I've kinda been "hoping it's not true' .
Today, I picked up the latest copy of Soccer Laduma (www.soccerladuma.co.za) and I was very shocked to read Mabhudi Khenyeza's interview and what he had to say about Ertugral.
Okay, I love drama so the "shock" was the good kinda shock.
I am so "Wow" at Khenyeza for speaking out like that without fear coz I know there are "probably" lots of Chiefs players who would love to say what he said but they can't because if they do then they'll be reduced to the bench.
Luckily for Mabhudi, he now plays for Ajax Cape Town and doesn't need Muhsin (for now) so he decided to pour his heart (or is it guts) to Soccer Laduma and the funny thing is that he was not even being asked about Muhsin or Chiefs, he just blurted it all out. Ebenyanyile ngempela!
The interviewer was asking Mabhudi about the difference in the way he played in Jozi vs how he plays in Cape Town and tjo, MK started rolling.....
Here's part of what he said "
"The good working environment is the difference between my time here and in Jhb........"
"..................Muhsin Ertugral has a lot of pride and everything is about him.
He forgets that he's not the one playing on the field and that he should respect players. Craig Rosslee (pictured so beautifully below) respects us a lot and knows that his success depends on us, that makes everyone feel welcome in the team......"
That was not all....he continued....
"All I can tell you is that sometimes one has to swallow one's pride & apologise when one is wrong."
"However don't think you're a Robert Mugabe or George Bush of the team when you're the coach. That was the problem between Muhsin & me. I hear he's still talking about me behind my back."
"I believe he's jealous of me, otherwise why would he still talk about me when I left his team?" (Okay, this part is ridiculous, why would a coach be jealous of u?)
Asked if he would ever call Muhsin if he had a problem.... ...Mabhudi says.....
"No, I don't even want to meet him anymore! If he were to join my team, that would be the day I leave that club or retire! I don't like working with arrogant people who respect others. If someone thinks players are puppets, they better think again".
When asked if he shook Muhsin's hand during the Ajax/Chiefs match at Loftus, the "obviously" fuming Khenyeza had this to say....& this is my favourite quote in the entire interview tl tl tl tl .....
"No, we didn't meet or anything because we can't stand each other! I just get pissed off every time I see him and I can't imagine what would happen if he were a player, especially a defender. Into enginyanyisa kakhulu (LMAO...what pisses me off the most) is the fact that he still keeps talking bad about me. He also disrespects Soouth African football and it's people."
Mmmhh....interesting Mabhudi, interesting!!
Read the rest of the interview on the latest issue of Soccer Laduma.

Last week, there was an interview with Cyril Nzama about why he left Chiefs and Nzama said it was because he didn't see eye to eye with the coach.
"I don't really know what got into him because suddenly he wasn't even talking to me. Even at training he wouldn't say a thing to me."
Cyril also mentioned that the whole thing started with a meeting the senior players (Cyril, Thabo Mooki, Fabian M, D. Obua, A. Zwane, JimmyT) had with management (Kaizer, Bobby, Abdulla).
He says that after the coach found out about that meeting, only he and Thabo were victimised by Muhsin but I'm wondering if his Laduma interview was the reason Jimmy Tau was on the bench against Sundowns on Sunday! Big mouth Cyril!
Yeah, that's our coach! If he's not calling people donkeys he's being called names by the players....
So, do we have a tyrant of a coach or are these players just lazy??
