I seem to be having a bit of an obsession with lists, rankings and seeing who is on top of what list etc. so here we go....
As suggested by a reader, Innuendo, in one of my blog articles, here are SA's
Google Zeitgest 2008 lists:
So what were South Africans typing into the Google Search Box in 2008?

On
www.alexa.com you can basically check any website's traffic i.e. how they compare to other sites, and see which websites get the most traffic in the world and by country, language etc! It's quite an interesting tool!
According to Alexa,
TVSA ranks 526th in South Africa's Traffic Rankings and only 61.2% of its users are from
SA. The rest are from
US (10.4%),
India (6%),
UK (2%),
Mexico (1.6%),
Australia (1.3%) and the rest is made up of other countries and strangely if there are any african countries there, it's a fraction too small it's not even worth noting!

IN RED: - I'm really surprised at ETV's SA ranking. Does anyone know what's so great about their site & what's pulling readers from as far as Nigeria?
- Interesting to also note that there's a noticeable amount of Congolese & Zimbabwean neighbours looking for employment this side.
- I'm not surprised to see that Standard Bank & Absa get such high traffic, ONLINE BANKING is one of the best inventions ever!
- Kaizerchiefs.com is the 46th most visited website in Lesotho. Why?
