Dreams are possible

I'm guessing that most of you who post here on tvsa are working people. But let's dream a bit today. If you were not doing the kind of work that you are doing righ now what do you think you will be doing? What is your dream job/work? And how do you plan to achieve it?

I know this is a very sensitive questions because most of you don't enjoy your work. But can we try not to complain about our current jobs at all. Can we just focus on our dreams and passions that we have otherwise we just going to get ourselves worked up and messed up! And because my name is Positivity could we try and spread that and encourage one another to pursue our dreams and how to go about achieving them! :)

I know that if I wasn't doing what I'm doing currently I will be on radio! I've just sent through my demo tapes to three programmes manager! I have wanted this from whence I was 13 yearn and had the opportunity with community radio. I took a u-turn (I believe it was ochestrated by God) and end up doing what I'm doing now. But this year because it's 2000 n mine I will like to pursue the dream again. I don't care if I will be critized once I start doing the job. The passion is greater than the pain, ask anyone leaving their dream!

my dream 'was' being an actress i swear i was passionate but ever since i got this job ive stopped pursuing my dream hence the 'was'. dont know if i still want to pursue it though.

I really wanted to be in HR- i was for a while but I was specialising. So I 'm studying now and will finish my degree in June 2009. i will then study towards being a trainer/facilitator. I love being in front of people and teaching

my dream job is the kind top billing presenters do. i dont want to be a presenter but i want to travel the world.

My dream job is to work at Metro FM,AT THE MOMENT IM AT COMMUNITY AND IN MY FINAL YEAR I MEDIA STUDIES AND LINGUISTICS.I KNOW NEXT YEAR IM HITTING GAUTENG AUCKLAND PARK TO UPDATE PEOPLE.MY DREAM JOB IS TO WORK AT BIG RADIO STATION OR TV FOR THAT MATTER....

I have always wanted to own a restaurant... A news cafe type of restaurant, but in my name of course eg: Krissy's spot LOL. Although I love what Im doing now, I dont see myself in it for the next 50 years to come...

So I will be following 1 and only's 10 10 20 60 rule and will get there in the next 10 years or so...

I would love to work on one of the Magazines like Fashion Critic or something like that wethu but boy/girl wait until i finish my Degree although kuse kude ngaphambili but i believe there is nothing impossible...

Wow Krissy... me too I've always wanted to own a Restaurant, but mine will be a 5 star Restaurant (lol), where you have to dress up (really smart)to go to. Well I am working on it this year...

@Beyonce: That's fantastic, best of luck and once u have opened up for business, please give a sister some tips on how u did it...

For me that's a long term goal, something that I will have in 10 years time when I retire.

I am going to say this again, i would love to teach high school kids and have my own accounting firm. Pity teaching does not pay so well, but I will do it some day!

For now, I am here doing what is a number 3 dream

I was doing what i loved last year , and then had to relocate unfortunately had to start at the bottom again, i hate not being busy i am a creative person so i thrive in advertising and all that
But now am just sitting at a desk doing bugger all , wasting my brains

Apart from that I've always loved accountancy, but got a bit discouraged along the way because of the lot of numbers involved. Ngivele ngisangane when i see a lot of numbers. Anyway, i'm planning to take a u-turn on my career and learn those numbers.........

My dream was to work with Stars and today i am meeting Billy Zane.........and a possible meeting with Morgan Freeman as the week goes.I just wanted to be there...........charity and social work is my calling and thats what i am doing right now!

My dream is to start a home/shelter for all the abused/homeless children....because i believe in children.....

I would love to be an event organiser but only for very posh doo's with elegence and style

I can't complain coz i'm working now but my dream is b'cuming a mathematician and physicist, like Isaac Newton (those who did Physics and Maths will know him). I want to cum up with my own law.

when i was younger i was into theatre - acting, dancing and music. Am a good singer (well i think i am) but its so difficult breaking into the entertainment industry that i think i'd still be struggling had i gone and studied these. What i'm doing now is good for now and puts food on the table that i'm actually thinking of studying further jsut to better myself and doing this in a higher office. so, no i'm not complaining.

my dream was to be Lawyer. I always wanted to work in a court room cross examine the witness and all that stuff, I enjoy those movies where crime is investigated.

i'd like to finance atlease 50 less fortunate kids per year with school needs(uniform, school fees, food and everything that has to do with them getting the future they always wanted), im already working on that dream but im far from being able to sponsor 50 of them with everything that they need ... it is not even half of my desired number and tjo ... this thing is troubling my soul.
