It's in your mouth!

This is my contribution to our TVSA home cell.

When I came across this short teaching by Bishop Donald Hillard I thought I should share with my lovely peeps, I hope you will enjoy it!

You are snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of your mouth. Proverbs 6:2 (NKJV)
Your breakthrough is in your mouth! There are some areas in all of our lives that have been dry for a long time. You might be reading this and your marriage is dry. Perhaps your relationships are dry. Your financial situation is dry. Your health is bad. Your mind is troubled. Your emotions are shattered. Or your nerves are on edge. But God is saying if you are going to be delivered, if change is going to come, if revival is going to come, it's in your mouth. It's not up to God. It is up to you.

What do you say about it? What do you say about the situation you are in? You can prophesy your own destruction or you can declare that you will live and not die. You can declare that health is yours. Prosperity is yours. Joy is yours. You can prophesy that your marriage will work. You will get that job. You will get whatever God has in store for you. No devil in hell can stop it. God said it, so declare it. Your victory is in your mouth.

Prayer
Precious Savior, I am in a situation in which it appears that there is no hope. I'm pressed on every side; everything seems to be falling apart in my life. But I thank you for the power of declaration. Your word says that I am snared by the words of my mouth. I am taken by the words of my mouth. Your word also says that whatever things I ask for when I pray, I should believe that I receive them, and I will have them. Father, I believe your word because your word is true. I therefore declare boldly that I will have all that you have for me, my situation will turn around, my outlook is bright, and I will live and not die. My future is bright because I trust in you! Amen.

Many times we wonder how we can operate in the same kind of "say and see" power that God does. It is simply a matter of meditating on the Word of God until it becomes so rooted in your heart that it becomes more real to you than your present circumstances. When a person reaches this point, his or her faith is ready to be activated by words...

13 Mar 2009 08:08

speak life to your life and you will live
speak prosperity to your life and it will manifest in right time
the power of tongue is more that we can imagine.

the tongue can break or make us. so the power is in our tongues....

eg if you tell a kid that he is ugly he end up beliving it. not because he is but because you said it.

so guys let us learn to only say what is good so that we atttract good things to our lives

Miss T thank you for the on the spot article.

Thank God I am back online!!!Sorry to all the members we've had a problem with our internet the past two days! Thanks Ms Tebby for your contribution!

So since MsT contributed for this week i will upload mine on saturday then, then discuss it on monday. Then Dima's contribution will be uploaded on a wednesday as scheduled. We can never hear enough of God's word!

WOW MS TEBBY!! it is true, i wish we can all live by this, everytime we think of speaking ill to our lives we can just remember the power of the word, i mean it makes sense that the words we speak against our lives are very powerful! In the beggining God created all things by just using his word, "let there be light" .

Thank you next time i will remember to say only positive things when it comes to my life!

Let us examine our ways." Lamentations 3:40

"Let us examine our ways...and...return to the Lord." What needs to be examined regularly? "Our ways!, our Speech!
I liked this example here:

A guy rushed into a service station one day and asked the manager if he'd a pay phone. The manager nodded, "Sure, over there." The guy inserted a couple of coins, dialed and waited for an answer. Finally someone came on the line. "Uh, sir," he said in a deep voice, "could you use an honest, hard-working young man?" The station manager couldn't help overhearing the question. After a moment or two the guy said, "Oh, you already have an honest, hard-working young man? Well, okay. Thanks all the same." A broad smile stretched across his face. He hung up the phone and started back to his car, obviously elated. "Hey, just a minute," the station manager said, "I couldn't help but hear your conversation. Why are you so happy? I thought the man said he already had someone and didn't need you?" The guy smiled. "Well, you see, I am that honest, hard-working young man. I was just checking up on myself!"

If you're serious about walking with God, examine yourself regularly. Are you praying, reading God's Word and renewing your mind daily?

ms.tebby

yeah cleve- and you know the pity parties that we entertain in our lives make us forget everything-sometimes even to believe the promises of God

13 Mar 2009 09:22

Amen Miss T

Your word says that I am snared by the words of my mouth. I am taken by the words of my mouth.

Your words become embedded in your heart, and from your heart they go through your mind and soul, and they determine your attitude and behaviour. So when you costantly say positive things, you start living positively and your whole being is driven by positiveness. before you know it you are surrounded by positive things and people, and all this began by your words.

The opposite will happen when you are constantly speaking negativity over your life, and will lose everything including people that matters most because no-one wants to befriend or even be associated with a critical, ever complaining person.

Thank you miss T

I refuse to co-operate with any anti-marriage spells and curses, in the name of Jesus.
I cancel every bewitchment fashioned against my settling down in marriage, in the name of Jesus.

Thank you, Miss T for a powerful message.

The tongue must be used in a careful and thoughtful kind of manner because it can lead us to hypocrisy…The Bible says in, James 3:9-10<<With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be.>>This just shows us how the tongue can turn us into being hypocrites.
And what we declare with the tongue whether good or bad may come to pass… <<I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and what ever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven>>Matthew 18:18…And we use the very same tongue to bind positive and negative things on earth which they will be bound in heave too..

nna i refuse it when people say that my son is cute and might end up being gay
i refuse it and everytime i pray i ask God to help me be a better parent to him and cast all spells and negative prophecies made upon his innocent little life

"Have a faith that can say to a storm: "You're temporary"

@Vida.. thank you

@blueroze.... when we were growing up, i used to be upset with my mother because everyday, you'll hear her in the middle of the night prayig for each of us, i mean putting her hands(literally ) on us, but now, thinking of it, i wish i can stay with her everyday, she still do it when we are home and maybe that's why i get excited everytime i have to there. so bllueroze, pray to God and pray for your child, speak what you want to become of him ... it works.

@ Belz, no you dont have to confess it to anyone else. You have a direct link to God. Also once you've asked for forgiveness, God forgives right there and then, you dont have to keep praying about it.
Psalm 103 comes to mind verse 3a says: God forgives all our sins. So forgive yourself my friend and move on.
@Pink, I hardly have bad days hey.

@Belz........its a good thing that you are praying about the wrong that you did to the other person. You know it is always refreshing to go and hear what God thinks bout the situation we are facing.
Everything has a manual book and cannot operate well without 1. Now we as human has our own manual book too which we cannot operate well without, which is the Bible that is why we have to go to the Bible everytime we need help / clarity / happyness, etc....James 5:16 says <<Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.>> My guess is confess to the Lord bout it (which u did already) and also to the person you did wrong.

Belz - We seek forgiveness from the Lord for every sin because He desires “ruth in the inward parts (Psalm 51:6),  By doing so, we are making our relationship with the Lord to be right, and if our relationship with the Lord is right, our relationships with other people will fall in line. You can also seek forgiveness from whoever was directly involved in order to ensure healing.

And it is possible that when you ask for forgiveness to people, they'll not forgive you instantly or forever, but you'd have done your part and that will be their buddern, their are depriving themselves of God forgiveness since the bible says "“If you do not forgive men, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions" in Matthew 6:15

Our God is a forgiving God, peole might not forgive us for what we have done but God always do.

Guys I love this cell and I'm so encouraged. I really believe in the facct that death and life is in the power of your toungue. I do have days though when I just say something negetive nje those that we don't take seriously like saying to my daughter "uyadika" and my boyfriend rebukes me there and then athi this is a blessing from God ungathi uyadika. He doesn't play when it comes to the power of what you confess. But ke nam I always rebuke the people who say to my daughter "yhu upakile amadoda azophela nguwe." I immmediately say, "hayi ke in Jesus' name this child will have nothing to do with amadoda untill the right time and unlike me she will do it the right way."

14 Mar 2009 15:52

@ Belz, Isaiah 1:18 says, "Come now, let us reason together,"
says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool."
It does not matter what you have done, it does not matter what we have said or seen, but if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Isaiah 43: 25 I, I am he (AK) who blots out(AL) your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins"
