Is the end really near??

Was browsing thru the net when I came across some very disturbing stories about some pastor in the US and it made me feel good about my decision of not going to church.

<<<Rev. Patrick Dennis had sex with women of his congregation, including a mother and daughter. The deacons say Dennis paid for the daughter's abortion, fathered a child upon another parishioner's wife, and attacked a person at the church with a baseball bat.

The board claims that members of another church, the Mount Zion Baptist Church, warned them that Rev. Dennis was a womanizer, but Rev. Dennis promised in 1997 that he would not do it again.

However, the deacons say they recently received complaints that the Rev. Dennis attacked a person at the church with a baseball bat, fathered a child upon a parishioner's wife, and stole money from the congregation's offerings. The cuckolded husband says Dennis' paternity was proved by DNA test, according to the complaint.
>>>>

<<as if that's not enough,,there's a former porn star who's going around telling everyone that she's been 'called to the ministry' and she's working on becoming an Evangelist." >>

and back here in Mzantsi, a very respectable former Bishop decided to join politics and leave his 'calling'.

my questions are:
How are we suppose to trust these people.
Are they using church to cover up for what they get up to behind closed doors?
Are we so much into money and power that God has to take the back sit?
Would you still go to that same church if your pastor has been accused and charged with what Rev  Dennis has been accused of.

Mina ngithi, I will rather read my bible @ home and pray @ home than go to a church and listen to a phoney.

ps: i WILL delete any reply that i find insulting to me or any other blocker. and guys, this is my 1st article, so please be gentle with me, ♫i bruise easily

How are we suppose to trust these people.

Arent we supposed to love all and trust no one? They are afterall HUMAN and not immune to sinning.

Are they using church to cover up for what they get up to behind closed doors?

Yes. Most definitely. Many corrupt men stand at the altar and preach what they haven't practised in donkey years. If they can read the Bible so can you and therefore it's the word that's important and not what the man in front of the congregation says. Most pastors are closet drunks, closet rapists, sodomists, closet petty-thieves (stealing from the petty cash LOL) and they have probably gone against 8 of the commandments,

Would you still go to that same church if your pastor has been accused and charged with what Rev Dennis has been accused of.

Yes-if action is taken against this pastor.

and back here in Mzantsi, a very respectable former Bishop decided to join politics and leave his 'calling'.

This Rev/Dr/Pastor confuses me too. At what point did he decide that politics is another branch of religion?

Anyway, mina I left church when a pastor "shelad" me, and I was still in high school nogal, since then, I've come to realise that at the end of the day, these people are just as human as me, and they have their flaws. So while I wont say i'll never go to church, I know i'll be careful about other people's interpretation of the word.

the reason i recently changed churches is because My ex Pastor bekasidlisa ngama pipe when it came to our girls esontweni....He is very rich and trendy, and he loves izinto ezi Top..so girls(all under 21 and he is 50 yrs even though he does not look a day over 30) would fall for him and he takes them out to the trendy hotels and restaurants and he would kherisa them ama R500 after church.....

so this really turned me off the church because that Pastor is Annointed for real when he is standing in the pulpit....The Holly spirit would come down immediately.

Another strange thing he would do is whilst standing up there preaching he would tell girls not to have loose panties and allow themselves to be used by older men with full pockets, and all these girls would shout, Amen Mfundisi.....ngabona lapho ukuthi NOO this church is just not right...mind you i have been attending that church since i was a child.

thats why on another article i said that corruption in this country is part of our culture ende ngeke iphele

awe u go girl!

mina my cousin's church the pastor is close to everyone and its only the youth who attends the church, he visits them at home, when he needs some money he goes to their house to ask for money in exchange for prayers. apparently in church if you give paper money he'll call u to the front and pray for u like there's no tomorrow. he thinks its the responsibility of the church to take care of him, he does not even have a job.

the church mind u is the kids who have to sacrifice their pocket money to give to him. i told my cousin to tell da pastor to get lost.

Can you imagine what the mother of this child would feel once ave what uMfundisi wakhe is doing to her child. I wont even try to explain the hurt and embarrassment the wife would feel. NNa I'm saying that people msut go to church for their own agenda's but not looking at what other people are doing.

So if you are like me and unthanda izindaba zabantu then it will put you off church. I have my own relations with God and I believe that he talks to me everyday and I talk to him like a friend. If he has something to show me, he does n some or other way. You should see the things that go on in my  mind when things are happening I really talk to him and I feel that he is next to me. I might not be verbal about it. I don't know any scriptures of the bible so don't ask me about that.

he was in the garage I went to him and the man was trying to grab my boobs, which were not even quite boobs yet,,Maybe he wanted to make then grow, lol,, just kidding.
and he was telling me i was fresh..This reminds me of a couple of years ago, hubby went to ZCC in Alex and if you have been to ZCC, you will know that when they pray for you, they kinda touch your whole body from head to toe, so this pastor who was praying for him sed "You are very fresh hey"..when he told me I LOL'd, but also got worried a bit..what the hek what he trying to say??

LOL bendidlala Cngle...really...not true,,You really got me there, was gonna ask you to ask him(alleged Daddy) what is he doing in politics?

UM judgemental, so there's no way um gonna continue going to a church lead by a pervert,, yes he's only human, but when he was made uMfundisi, i think he took an oath...really I cant.

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man

nna i wont stop going to church, i mught change church if attending certain church doesnt help my spiritual growth, but i'd certainly NOT stop going to church. I think going or not going to church depends on why you were going to church in the first place.

@Awelani,Ndo takala nga maanda u vhona article yawe.

exodus 20 verse 14" you shall not commit adultery"
leviticus 20 verse 9" the priests are to keep my requirements so that they do not become guilty and die for for treating them with contempt.i am  te Lord , who made them holy"

pastors are human beings, they dont live in heaven and they do mistakes like everyone of us but this is too much.God has annoited them  and called them to lead his people not to mislead them.they  must lead by example, what is requred from them is to follow jesus' foot steps.

how can he stand infront of the pulpit and preech after what he has done? a place where must feel free and protected is in church, people go to church because they are desperate and hungry for God, how can this pastors use this chance for their own benefit. most men out there  no longer allow their wifes to go to church  because of what is happening.

pastors needs our prayers and support , and remember the devil only came to steal and kill so whatever happens must not stop u from loving God. our God is the same yesterday and today.God will never dissapoint u. dont stop going to church love as long as you know in your heart that you are serving God not the pastor.the Pastor might let u down BUT my God will never.

amen

i respect Mr Dandala for actually leaving the church with dignity and announcing it to SA instead of using the congregation to futher the Cope cause...like some politians who are also church leaders, and then go to to their churches and still stand in front of these congregations, preaching, while they go back to the political arena the next day...think ZibaJ, think the ACDP themselves who were probably expecting gullable Christians to vote for them, because they are christians...mncm!!!

as for the sex pests within the church..well its an age old thing,  priest with little boys, priest with nuns, priests and alcohol, priests, and young girls.  they are NOT angels and saints, they are human....its a pity for us guys most Nuns are ugly and frigid.and they dont show even a little bit of skin.otherwise..i'd be a catholic by now  LOL
