Sacramento Police Seek Help In Cold Case

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Sacramento police want to know if anyone has information about a woman whose body was found floating in a drainage canal in 1983.
The discovery was made on March 4, 1983, near El Centre Road just south of Del Paso Road, police said.
The woman is described as white, in her late 20s, about 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 167 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. She was wearing heavy clothes, police said, which could indicate she had been traveling from a colder climate.
An autopsy showed that the woman died from blunt force trauma to the head, police said.
A new sketch of the woman has been released in hopes that someone can identify her.
