AFTER WATCHING YESTERDAY’S “CUTTING EDGE” EPISODE

NGIPHOSA ESIVIVANENI (my two cents worth)

kindly discontinue reading this article should you find it somehow, for gimme for putting in no pictures.

Watching this show yesterday (02/04/09) got me ashamed, disgusted and really depressed.

Writing about it here won’t help much or not at all. Anyway, here it goes…..

I am a person who preaches or rather lives by a motto that says: The two guys DUMB & POOR should never meet and shake hands. Most probably you are thinking about how I could be so judgmental about yesterday’s episode, of which maybe I am (and sincerely apologize if that is how I sound here). As in my head I am solely pointing out the truth. Like Thula (RC) said yday …..”Some of us don’t know what is best for us……..but it hurts when it’s being made obvious……”

Going back to the dumb and poor thing, before I do so let me make it clear that ILLITERACY does not translate to dumb nor poor. But sure does compliment the situation should an opportunity arise. Secondly I need to make it clear that I do not believe that there are stupid people.

Here is how I define the two and reasons I say they should never meet and shake hands.

DUMB & POOR:
- WHEN YOU ARE LAZY TO THINK (USE YOUR BRAINS) AND OR LAZY PHYSICALLY
- WHEN YOU REJOICE BEING POOR, i.e. complaining & yet waiting on a full platter to fall on your lap.
- CELEBRATING & ENCOURAGING POOR, e.g. giving birth none stop but you say you are poor & still see nothing wrong.
- & the likes.

LESSONS I’VE LEARNT:

-In my dad’s words: “ Umuntu omnyama yindlu yamandla efundile engafundile”

-another one was from my land lady back when I was still a student. In her words: “ ukuba akunayo ingqondo yemfundo ufanele ubenayo ke mos eyemveli, ngaphandleni koko uyakulamba uthi shu!”. Mind you she is uneducated & does not even know the year she was born.

-I loved that Evita woman on Isidingo when she was speaking on the ….Edge with Cooper, saying something along the lines of:”……we had to do something ourselves to change the situation as God is too busy himself” (yes you do know what she meant)

That is, it is all in ones hands only if you do choose to wake up and smell the coffee. Chriselda will tell you: “it is all in the mind”….from the bible: “ ….for you are more than conquerors…” and yes you do know that being more than a conqueror means you refuse surviving, but choose to live your life.

Now my plea to everyone out there is to please spread the gospel that: “The two guys dumb & poor should never meet and shake hands”….yes this is my very own and reserve a right to sue whom ever uses it without referencing me… (hi hi hi!). And let us start sweating our assets and make our God proud. Let us refuse to have the cemetery as the wealthiest place on earth. Manroue has something along these lines too.

Yesterday Dineo(Generations) said it well: “ Decide what it is that you want, then go out there and get it”

Me to you: Is it not time we start revolving towards viewing things from a 360 degrees angle?

May the good Lord help you grasp the deeper meaning of the above in courtesy of my 3rd grade English.

“The two guys dumb & poor should never meet and shake hands”...............Do you mean the poor women eating from the dump and still continuing to make baby number 5.
I must say, that women has given up in life...........kgale

nasi isonka, ndiyasitsha, ndilambile apha esiswini, nayi ne drink ndiyayisela, lena inempethu ngizozesula ndiqede ndiyisele. Abantwana bami ndibafida khona apha edumpini. Sithola izinto ezimnandi apha, i plums neKFC ndibala ntoni. And the husband was busy throwing salads to his wife.

Yah neh, so much needs to be done by the ruling party.

Makes me sad when people act like that but ignorance is not an excuse for laziness! Every1 should vote as fighting for democracy was pointless!
