SABC is a sad public broadcaster

SABC sucks I'm sorry. Here's is my beef with them!

Okay so on Friday I was bored to death. I decided to watch King Kong and fortunately didn't dissapoint even though it was a little bit predictable. So here I am sitting on my bed watching this movie the next I know there's that irritating game show show on my television screen! The movie ended at 00:00:25. Imagine, no warning or nothing. They just decided to cut the movie in the middle! I wouldn't have sat until that time if I knew that they were going to do that! I was so shocked that I even googled the movie to see if that was the right ending! And you guessed right it wasn't. The movie was cut. No explanation, apologies no nothing!
I'm so not interested in watching it again because i have already googled it! I know what's going to happen at the end! And I have a feeling that they are going to repeat it! Jah neh, SABC1 sucks!

And that whole Khetiwe and Dumi thing i.e. dead sound???? And the countdown that keeps showing up on my television screen? What's that about?

And SABC1 is not the only one! SABC 3 keeps repeating Top Billing adverts (both tv and magazine), I don't know how many times I've seen clips of Jamali, Prime Circle,
Meyerstate, Celine Dion with that old French man (what ever his language is) and that irritating reggae man on stage! And what's up with their new lineup??? Moving comedy night for a boring show like Journey to the Core on a Monday! Who watches that! And how did that they come with that decision! Having a spiritual show on a Monday????And moving shows like Law Order to the 22:15 time slot! Who is awake on a Monday at that time???

We are the unfortunate one who get stuck with it if only we could afford Dstv.

Saturdays am usually home and beleive me there is nothing to watch on Tv, its dead boring and how i hate those adverts during genarations , you see i dont understand the local languages , so i dont get wht is said half the time when those things come up.

I wont even start with the repeats i am tired of watching Chuck Norris, Steven Segal movies i swear sometimes i feel like breaking the bloody Tv

Who still watches SABC 1 movies??????
Try SABC 3 and Etv, well ETV is whack on friday cos its "Friday Action Night" and i'm a gal, lol. but SABC3 is usually better when it comes to movies.

Welfare channels are even worse after midnight. I ran out of sleep on sunday morning at around 03:00am cos i dreamt of a fresh decorating idea, went to the lounge with my tv blanket and redecorated. Switched on the tv when i was done, there was some crappy comedy on 3, music on 1, news on 2, can't remember wat was on E, i couldn't take it, so i had a toss between some porn to put me sleep or some Chris Rock on dvd to ensure i watch the sun rise. Porn worn ofcos & i passed out like a baby midway, i tell u if i'd played the extended version i woulda woken up to some huffin & pufiin still : ))

Public toilets, Public transport and now Public broadcaster (SABC), i dont see anything good coming from these PUBLIC oriented institution. it is all about empty promises, ignoring the PUBLIC needs. on top of it we pay the tv licence for the crap we are forced to watch.

why cant they send a notice that goes something like....

they threatened to blacklist me for not renewing my tv licence (was supposed to be renewed in march). i don't see hwy i need to renew seeing as i don't even have a tv no more...

@Savanah Dry - dont worry Dstv also repeat the movies, i have watched the Phat girls for 4 times , i know every line. so the advantage is the you can change the channels as much as like but they also repea,it just the waist of our hard earned money..

and they keep saying "pay your tv licence it is the right thing to do", voet voet nonsense.

they even re-broadcast 1996 soccer match whilst there is a live soccer game. they delay broadcasting of some games without any valid reasons.

Now i hate the word PUBLIC because of them, my kids wont go to any Public school, Private is better.

The TVLic are soo serious about payments, my cousin said he told them that multichoice switches off his channels when he is not paying so they can also switch off their channels.

@ Cande & Positivity1, that is the problem about Public broadcaster, either they are not innovative or they dont care.

it was going to be fair if they switch off their transmission, but they know no one was going to pay. infact they must pay us for the torture they subject us to.

I cant stand SABC 1 wit their cheesy promos & loud irritating voice overs..but I must say the lowest of the lowest was the Election Live shows, terrible sound..shots..directing, presenting...I was so fed up...Etv with wrestlings 24/7 aint helping either..................

I thought we were the only ones caught up in that King Kong fiasco!The movie was cut unexpectedly,then that annoying call-in scam show went on for 1 whole hour but we never went to bed,waited for the movie to start from where it left off.Imagine our anger and disappointment when Music Lounge started playing afterwards,King Kong dwe!Mxim,we're never watching any SABC 1 movies again,even though it pained us,we boycotted "Ray" on Sunday.SABC 1 sucks BIG TIME.

....yessus...i have never been so mad....after putting up with the savvages, king kong, ginat bats and worms, dinassaurs etc etc...i needed an ending...Gosh..im stil. mad...and this was the first tym in along tym that an sabc1 movie was watchable....nxxxxa...still mad....so ANYBODY...exactly how does the movie end....???

No Floh it didn't end as in end, that was the time when the movie was cut! I know cause I checked my watch!

They are going to repeat the movie on Sunday @ 22:00! I don't think I will sit that long on a Sunday! I have to prepare for work the next day! Pity!
