Kenyan Murder Mystery

An hour-long documentary about the recent court case in Nairobi of The Right Honourable Tom Cholmondeley.

Mr Cholmondeley has been found guilty of manslaughter for shooting Robert Njoya; a trespasser on his 58,000 acre Rift Valley estate. The incident happened in May 2006 when he was out on his estate and came across a gang of poachers.

It was not the first time he has been accused of killing a black man. The court case has taken almost 3 years to reach it's conclusion and as this sepcial shows, the story has been one that has its roots back in the history of colonial Africa.

Created by Tom’s relation Fiona Cunningham-Reid, specifically for the channel, this special features in-depth court interviews with the Cholmondeley family, Tom’s partner Sally Dudmesh, Mr Njoya’s widow and the legal team.

More and more I've been thinking I'd really groove on being a detective. It would very rough seeing the things they do but solving cases must be such an adrenalin trip. Do you think loads of peeps want to be one? Is it why detective shows are so popular?
