We live 10 kms from a low power (100 watt) 'pay TV' transmitter - the MNET Multichoice CSN spare channel. It is transmitted on UHF channel 54 from Constantiaberg in Cape Town. Due to the nearby mountains, we do not have line of sight, and the experts have always insisted that there was definitely no way that we would be able to receive a strong enough signal for the decoder. They were wrong! From the internet I found out about antenna stacking, and have succeeded in getting a watchable picture with good sound. For anyone in a similar situation it could well be worth trying!
