The problem was the travelling part Green.arrow, after Aliyaah died in that horrible plane crash, he vowed never to take a plane again in his life. Now I just wanna know is he over this phobia, coz if he's coming by ship, then he is probally on sea already!

I just called the Computicket line at R2.85 per minute and they don't know when we can start bookings and they say they are waiting for promoters to instruct them to release the tickets, they don't know when that will be, we must just keep checking. *sigh*

I wasnt there but I hear that R kelly went on for an hour at 21h50. and when he finished he said " Ilove you i love  you. adn that was the end.

Apparantly people thought he was going to change only to have security guards ask them to evacuate.

and i heard that there was a time when they played some old CD for about 30 minutes with no action on stage.

My friend was s o disappointed. shame. To think she brought the R400 ticket. and only saw him for 1 hour.  and she got there early only to see Maliaka and some nigerian rapper perform. lol

Guys, the logistics were terrible. Computicket and the promoters have alot of explaining to do. There were about 1000 who were refused entry. We were told our tickets were fake and we had to go to the ticket enquiry office. When we got to the office our tickets were confiscated from us and they refused to help us, insisting that we had fake tickets. After 2 hours of fighting, swearing and singing "Mshini wami", they finally decided to let us in. Needless to say, we missed all the local artist performances. When we finally got in, the stage was empty for bout an hour, and some cd was playing in the background. When Kelly finally got on stage, his performance was good, but it ended rather abruptly.
Apparently the whole fiasco happened because computicket duplicated the tickets. Anyways, i suggest you guys get your tickets validated early, or maybe call computicket to ask them if they foresee a repeat of what happened in Sun City.

Jweb, where did you het your tickets. We were sure that ours were legit. Don't buy over the counter, rather go for internet as all the details and proof of everything was there. The golden circle was squashed because of that fiasco.

Jweb_99: Thats exactly what I heard.

Tbo touch has got to explain. To think people drove all the way there for 1 hour performance. They should. It's not right that people sat there for an hour with no action on stage. No ways. money wasted for niks

GML that was nothing. When Lauren hill was here it was worse. We waited for hours so this was nothing. R Kelly had no passion for this, I really did not fgeel him. Maybe John Legend was just too good and raised the bar too high.

Maybe John Legend was just too good and raised the bar too high.

I find that I'm also struggling with that......I go to a concert, and find myself measuring the performance against him and no one has lived upto that high standard he set.

Well, hopefully Boyz 2 Men, Anthony Hamilton & Jonhy Gill will deliver a better perfomance on Womans Day.

Thank God i didn't waste my money on the R.

Email to Metro for ur complaints, they are involved in the concerts.

The only song that felt good was the very last - Happy People.... At first he was doing snippets of all his old songs which I hated.... Other than that - I loved Malaika's performance, I think Thsedi can sing very well.... I loved a few songs from R Kelly - and I loved lusting after him....ohhh his smile.
But standing for 2 hours waiting for action was just not on..... inyawo zam bezitsha finish.

29 Jun 2009 22:33

logistical nightmare if you ask me,i've sn such bad organising in my life of events management, people with tickets were refused entry because the place was packed, some of us parked our expensensive cars 5km away from suncity and walked to the venue. His voice was define but his stage perfomance was nje!for a men who shoots such hot videos,,i expected better stage perfomance.as for the after party, the least said the better having have said that, the man can sing and i enjoyed myself!

29 Jun 2009 23:37

Brown Shuga it;s clear that you and I went to a different concert............I also enjoyed myself, and R Kelly performed more than an hour........Kanti abantu expect him to perform for 3 hours? No one ever performs for 3 hours.....As for the traffic issue, I agree it should have been handled better but we also have ourself to blame, me and my partner left Pretoria late (blame it on the BOEING i was driving)...................lol
