Coming up on 3rd Degree:

Episode Title: Gone
Broadcast date: 8 September 2009

A child goes missing every six hours in South Africa. Almost half of the missing children are from Cape Town. Many disappear and some are found, either alive, or dead.

Five-year-old Rafique Hardien, six-year-old Kim Abrahams and four- year-old Celine Cowley are just three of the many children who went missing in the Cape and were later found murdered .But as so often happens in cases like these, the perpetrators were never discovered.

The families of the victims have not yet found closure and they are asking why more was not done to solve the cases.

Tonight 3rd Degree investigates why so many cold cases remain unsolved and asks the question: is South Africa failing its children?

3rd Degree is on e.tv and the eNews Channel (DStv Channel 403) on Tuesday's at 21h30.
