Tonight's third episode of
SA's Got Talent covers more performances from Jozi, Durbs and Cape Town and features people ranging from six to 58 i.e.a our own Susan Boyle - literally.
A 58-year old opera singer was so inspired by Susan Boyle's singing that she decided to enter the show to follow in her footsteps. Hopefully she's not as nuts! (and wears different eyebrows)
There's also a soccer-playing-stripper who goes by the name of Crystal ‘The Double Adapter’, a fruit-seller-turned-poet, a 6-year-old drummer, classical Indian and ballroom dancers and potentially horrific acts called The Dahlings,
Devils Angels of Dance and Bokkie.
In Jozi, there's a beatboxer who causes chaos with the audience and makes Shado blush and a five piece dance act called Show Stopaz, who stop the show they're so good apparently.
This week it's Shado who turns into tears - an11-year-old called Hannah Reynolds finishes her off with a performance of Good Morning Baltimore from Hairspray.
In Durban, there's a group called Ubumbano, whose lead singer's a full-time security guard; and a one-man clown act Clifton Connolly, who goofs the audience.
In Cape Town a lovelorn dumpee called Louis van der Merwe sings a duet with his brother to win his girlfriend back. For himself, not for his brother .. although whenever brothers get involved with one girl it always means he wants her too.
There's also another Michael Jackson routine. This time from a guy/girl called Jody, who wears a plastic-bag wig.
SA's Got Talent is on SABC2 on Thursdays at 19h30.
