BBA-Rev: Suggestions For ANY Future Biggie

I have thought how this beautiful show could be saved… Not just for this year but any other year that Multichoice and/or Endemol or any other company that wants to be a part of it could do things differently to keep the show going.

I had a couple of ideas but believe that Addicts that love and want the show can add value to the concepts of this show. We can make the change and improve the show without taking away from it.

House
I am certain Endemol and/or Multichoice can buy a house anywhere in the participating countries and host the show from there. Show the addicts the house plan and the addicts vote for where they want the show to be hosted. It gives each country a chance to be a host to a multitude of people and promote their countries.

It would be nice to have a house in Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, Kenya, Zimbabwe… UNLESS there are some bylaws or legal issues with the countries hosting such a show. After the show ends, they do not berak it down. They give it to a charity organization that the addicts vote for.

Host and Biggie Voice
Have some big names from all the participating countries try out as host during the interview process for the idiotz. I would never mind Tich Mataz, Addicts can then vote for the host they most liked. Whoever gets the most votes is the host of the show.

Kaya FM and am certain some radio stations where Biggie is broadcast also have partner rights of iets.. Let the addicts go to those stations to familiarize themselves with possible voices for Biggie and vote. No need to reveal where and who the voice is from; just use voice 1, voice 2, etc to keep the mystery of the VOICE there. If you insist on having a female voice; change the name of the show.

This can also be done very early stages of the show, whilst we are watching the hopeless idiotz trying out; in parallel do the host and biggie voice votes.

Idiot choosing process
The casting happens for months but I suspect that often the casting team’s best choice rarely take on the challenge. I believe that they chicken out for some or other reason and the next best one enters the house. The show can start making revenue long before the launch of the show by involving us via web, cellphone and tv shows. Use the same model as Idols – show us the volunteers.

Choose the best 5 out of each country; then let the addicts vote for whoever they want to see in the house. If you insist on having more than 12 or 14 housemates then add those countries that also subscribe to Multichoice not extra per country! Add idiotz from Chad, Liberia, Cameroon, Sudan, Swaziland and Lesotho.

I have more ideas but would like to give addicts a chance to save our beloved Bigstar!

Yah, I can’t give up on this show…This is for future…

One thing that will errase this years catastrophie from my mind and dry my tears for the show that was is a southafrican BB in all its immoral-unsesored- *bleep!* in the garden- drink till you passout splendour.
No money pots for "good" behavour and shower hour in its orriginal slot not midnight. Let the people be themselves.
The thing I liked most about the bigbrother that was is no scripts now you can just see this isht is scripted to death. Damn the murderes damn them to their moral graves!!!
Sorry Segs I cant help but vent.......huuusssaaaa...huuusssaaaa.......

Ah, I don't know Sego.  Maybe they should revert to the old recipe.  Good old fashion immoral TV, no censorship, and no conspiracies.  Or maybe just one change:  let the public nominate, and the idiotz evict.

@Segololo

My own suggestion is that the show be rested for the next 2 years. During this period the organizers should try and work out an acceptable model that creates a level-playing field for the participating housemates from the various countries.

This current show was not bad. They just messed it up by pairing the guys. I guess they were trying to hard to innovate and they messed up big time.

Personally this BB Africa concept has passed its sell by date rather stick to BB country where more or less the participants will understand their different cultures, languages and the cliques.

i only want a south african bb...................then they can take a sabaticcal and try to reinvent their bba rebolucions *bleep!*.

there is so much they can do rite
the first they can do is to unscript the show....................just take a bunch of idiotz and shove them into the house.....................no rules.

should be hectic.

How about when all the good suggestions are impemented, we take turns with the idziotz. One week we nominate, following week they nominate? I think it would keep them guessing. I also want engaging conversations. No need for rocket scientists understand, but geeze man, the last two shows we listened to folks chatting for hours about issues that even had us joining in and having fun. For a change though, I want my BBSA  back whilst they try sort out the moral pain of those that have nothing better to do.

There is no point of resting BBA. there should be fair representation of each country in the house.

That is what I thought this BBA revolution will provide but boy was I wrong. This is what morality does I guess.

For a change though, I want my BBSA back whilst they try sort out the moral pain of those that have nothing better to do.
Same here.

All housemates to be up for eviction and the public vote in their favourites and vote indivudually not per country.

The idea of a BBSA wouldn't be bad indeed.....i also like the idea of the public nominating.

Ruby Red
23 Oct 2009 09:43

mathaz..................viewers already vote individually but the organisers choose to lump the votes into a country vote.
your idea is a good one, it would have beed particularly applicable in thsis rebolucion.

@Realist

"Personally this BB Africa concept has passed its sell by date rather stick to BB country where more or less the participants will understand their different cultures, languages and the cliques".

I agree with you. However it won't work. Mnet has only held one BBA Nigeria and they promised to hold BBA SA since BBA 2 and have not done so. The question is why? It is simply not lucrative to do so. We may come to this forum and many others and write all manner of things. We also get so deeply emotional and forget one vital point. Any reality show , be it BBA, American Idols, etc is all about making money.

Let me use an example to explain what I mean. If Mnet decides to show BBA SA, where will the sponsorship come from? From what I see Shoprite and MTN amongst others are sponsoring BBA Revolution. Why will they want to sponsor BBA SA, when they are already well established in SA. An advertiser wants the widest exposure for its products, it wants to break into new markets, for example.

The audience for BBA SA will mostly be South Africans. How do the organizers recoup their money and make profit. BBA SA will not be allowed in Nigeria. How many of the citizens from other countries Multichoice does business  in will watch BBA SA considering the fact that they don't have any housemates in the house. Why would they spend money sending SMS. How many SMS will South Africans send at R2.00 that would ensure the organizers make a profit. If the show has to run as an entertainment programme then you have to pay more in your subscibtion fees. It is as simple as that.

23 Oct 2009 21:50

I would have sworn its called BBSA, as in bigbrother south africa,D7 sister get that right.
What makes you think they will not get sponsers? Why do you seem to think that your precious naija is better than the rest?? And if they are, what the f## are they doing here in SA in their thundreds of thousands?

@Onna

I meant BB SA and not BBA SA. I stand corrected, thank you.

Segololo put up a posting and asked for our contribution. Realist put up a suggestion which I subscribe to. However, I did not think the suggestion was feasible and I gave my reasons. You are free to comment and air your views on what I wrote and you have done so!!!! Have a nice day.

Hosting the show in a different country will not make any difference. The problem is with the nomination and voting system. The criteria that the voters use to evict housemates is also not helping the show.

realist

Dorothy, If BBSA3 was to happen trust me there will be more money made compared to BBA. You know why? The whole population of SA will be watching. Presently with BBA it is mostly us blacks watching BBA. You don’t believe me? Just look at any SA Idols show and tell me who votes in their millions.

The audience for BBA SA will mostly be South Africans. How do the organizers recoup their money and make profit.
Trust me they will make more money compared to all the BBA.

BBA SA will not be allowed in Nigeria.
Who told you that? The first and the second BBSA was shown in Nigeria and your  government never even complained about the so called morality.

From what I see Shoprite and MTN amongst others are sponsoring BBA Revolution. Why will they want to sponsor BBA SA, when they are already well established in SA. An advertiser wants the widest exposure for its products, it wants to break into new markets, for example.
Mtn in SA is a small fish compared to Vodacom. They are well established in Nigeria and not in SA. Shoprite is also a small fish in SA compared to Pick n Pay. The reason you have ShopRite and Mtn is because they are already into Africa.

How many SMS will South Africans send at R2.00 that would ensure the organizers make a profit.
More than what BBA is making now. You know why? Because most SA will be voting.

i find your post shallow and ill-informed. you are making broad generalisations which are not based on fact.
if you are aware that we watched bbnigeria here in southern africa, boring and predictable as it was then you can bet on it a bbsa will be watched in countries other than sa and other than sadc for that matter.

do we have participants in the apprentice, in hell's kitchen and amazing race, why do we watch the,?

the only supposedly true statement you made is that bbsa may not be allowed in nigeria.

otherwise the rest of your post needs some editing, otherwise it is a laghauble attempt at sarcasm and insult.

I agree with anyone who wants the BB SA...It rocked ....in fact some housemates still rings in my mind. E.g Thando Mkhize,  BB SA 1 she was a lesbian and she rocked. BB SA 2.Zlako, Ille Marie and the lovely Mandy. Guys I really miss BB SA wish they could bring it back.]

To hell with Morality in Big brother House....look how they have killed the revolution. By the way if edmol decides to host BB SA..we also wants gays and lesbians for fun.

Are Nigerians having shares in edemol guys...something fishy is going with the show and i won't bother myself anymore.
