I got an invite to come meet and chat with the latest Evicted ghostz; RCC Kristal and Zulu-bore Squinzo, with a possibility of Liz being there too, on Tuesday evening at The Don in Sandton. I quicly went to my questions blog to check what addicts, now chief mourners, wanted to know from the ghostz… tjo!
Anyway, as soon as I saw Liz arriving with her friends I grabbed her to get your answers… As we walked to the interview spot I had chosen, we bumped into RCC Kristal and Zulu-bore Squinzo with their family members arriving. Tjo! The people that were in that house are so different from the people I met! They were so shy and quite in demeanor compared to how we saw them in the house.
I had the impression that Liz was this stuck-up Miss +size Mbau whilst she was in the show but quite surprisingly she was very humble and not over-the-top… It was refreshing to have a chat with her…
Segololo: Your hair lasted and lasted and lasted and lasted while in the house. Where did you get your long lasting weave?
Liz: (laughs) In Randburg. It’s Brazilian. I think real Brazilian. I got it done at a salon called jexclusive.
S: If it wasn’t the money you were after, why did you enter the show?
L: For the exposure because I want to be in the media industry.
S: What part of the industry are you interested in?
L: TV or radio. I would like to do some presenting and hopefully this experience will make me more recognizable as I knock on the doors.
S: Is there a boyfriend and a Sugar daddy or is it one person?
L: (Laughs) Sugar daddy? Hell no! There is no sugar daddy. It is one person that is my boyfriend. Some of the things I spoke about while in the house was about someone who is now an ex. But my boyfriend is cool and he understands.
Kristal, Quinn and Liz strikes a pose!S: Was any embarrassment caused by your experienced in the biggie house?
L: No. no-one was disappointed or embarrassed. My boyfriend is cool and he brought me here tonight so if he was embarrassed he wouldn’t have brought me here.
S: Can Emma sing? Do you really think she can sing?
L: Yes, she has a great voice. She can sing very well.
S: What has been said about you since you came out that shocked you?
L: That I had a rich father. I don’t even have a father, right now! That I am a brat and spoilt.
S: What is your opinion on Elizabeth?
L: Just like all of us, she is misunderstood. She has gone thru a lot before coming on the show and she hasn’t had time to deal with it. She is misunderstood.
As we got back, the party was in full swing with IK on the dancefloor shaking what his momma gave him He is taller than I imagined. He was very friendly, mingling with guests, taking pics and getting them to dance while DJ Libi held the dancefloor filled dancers. The music was taking me back a bit – old hip hop nicely flowing…
Anywhoo, as most guests were taking pics with the evicted ghostz, I grabbed RCC Kristal to have a chat about her take on things.
Segololo: If you had been HOH, who would you have saved if Itai and Liz were up fot at all. or eviction?
Kristal: Itai. No question about it. He is my countryman.
S: Why did you give him the Molotov cocktail?
K: I know Africa likes people that do things and Itai is not much of a doer. He doesn’t do anything so I wanted to help him move – get him doing something. I gave it to him to help him. You know, to get him moving.
S: Did you ever feel nomination jitters?
K: No. Not at all. The first time I was nominated, Itai was HoH so I knew he would save me. The second time we were nominated, Quinn was HoH so I knew he would save us. This time I knew we were gonna go. I had to keep positive and I had to believe that I would not be evicted. BUT I knew that we were gonna get evicted.
S: Is that why you played some psycho crap on the other ghostz telling them you were not leaving come Sunday?
K: I had to keep positive. But I knew we were getting evicted.
S: As much as you disliked Emma, why did you not tell her to her face?
K Everybody thinks I didn’t like her because of Jeremy but I already didn’t gel with her when we were in the palace. There are people that you can’t gel with, there is no way everyone can get along with everybody all the time.
Kristal in her Kevin creation. Riemvas TS was not the onler sewing person in the house.S: If it wasn’t the money, why did you enter the show?
K: The experience. I have watched the show before and I was curious.
S: What has been said about you since you came out that shocked you?
K: Journalists have asked me a lot about the political climate and situation in Zim but I believe in leaving politics to the politicians.
S: Why did you guys not notice that the Namibians are the only ones who had more than 2 housemates?
K: We did notice that there were 3 Nigerian housemates but the Namibian housemates were a threat, they were doing a lot of things and created a lot of entertainment so we decided that we would let them go first and then the Nigerians would be next but as relationships formed, alliances and plans changed.
As we came back, Quinn was still taking pics with guests and most people calling him skelempa… shem! He will never shake that name. He agreed to come be interviewed but tjo! This boy is so shy! He is so so soooooo shy!
Segololo: Do you honestly think Emma can sing?
Quinn: Yah! She has a great voice. She needs to get signed up for an album.
S: What has been said about you since you came out that shocked you?
Q: Journalists have asked me if I blame Kristal for being evicted. And I feel that if fans wanted me in there, I would still be in there. I can’t blame anybody for being out and I was ready to go.
S: Where you REALLY ready to leave? You practically begged Leonel to put you up if you were not nominated? Why?
Q: I was ready to go. I wanted to see between Itai and I who was strong. So I was asking him to put me up with Itai to see and he changed his mind and put Kevin and Elizabeth. I wanted to be up with Itai.
S: So you didn’t get along with Itai?
Q: No, Never! I didn’t get along with him at all!
S: Interesting. Who will you keep in touch with?
Q: Everybody!
S: Even Itai?
Q: yah, even Itai. I wanna keep in touch with all of them.
S: If not for the money, why did you enter the show?
Q: For the experience. And it is a learning curve for me. Knowing that people are watching you all the time. That experience.
S: Who do you think will win?
Q: It’s a tough one. It’s gonna be a close one between Kevin and Eddie.
As we came back to the party, I had to have a small conversation with IK. He said he loved the experience and the show has changed a lot from the original concept of Big brother for this Revolution. He is enjoying doing the show and wants to do it his way – He doesn’t mind being compared to KB but he wants to do the show as himself, not try to be somebody else.
IK on the dance floor with Quinn, Kristal and a guestHe would do the show again, if he was asked to. Sometimes the sound glitches mess up the show and he has to take the blame. He doesn’t write his own scripts and has to pass them off as his own words but recently he has had some input oto the scripts which helps. There hasn’t been as many twists as before because they don’t wanna repeat a lot of things from the previous format of Big Brother.
SO I say, Let’s give him a chance…
