Miss South Africa 2009's coming up on Sunday (13 December) at the Sun City Superbowl and will be broadcast live on SABC3 from 19h30 to 21h00.

Carol Makhathini
Age: 22.
From: Durban.
Occupation: She has her own events and promotions business, Le Cherie Production. She is also a part time model and has completed 2 years of a BBA degree through UNISA.
Evette Wessels
Age: 22.
From: Kroonstad, Free State.
Occupation: She is studying Journalism, specialising in travel and tourism at the University of Pretoria - she is in her final year and finished her degree last month.
Joanne Cronje
Age: 23.
From: Bloemfontein, Free State.
Occupation: Studying a Masters Degree in Financial Economics and Investment Management at the University of the Free State. She also works part time as an Assistant Officer and Research Assistant at the Department of Economics at the university.
Karlien Seegers
Age: 25.
From: Cape Town.
Occupation: Freelance stylist and international model. She is also a co-owner and managing partner of Annie’s Daylight Studio’s and an aspiring photographer.
Lebogang Keagile
Age: 21.
From: Midrand, Gauteng.
Occupation: A cabin crew member for South African Express Airways. She also has her own promotions company, The Dark Angelz, models part-time and is doing a BComm Marketing degree with UNISA.
Lisa Maree Van Zyl 23.
From: Cape Town.
Occupation: Has a Financial Management National Diploma from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. She is currently studying Finance and Investments at the University of the Western Cape to obtain her Bcomm Honours degree. Upon completing her honours she would like to pursue a career in politics. She is also a professional full time model.
Mahlatse Mkhawana
Age: 20.
From: Johannesburg.
Occupation: A student at the University of Johannesburg where she is doing an IMM degree. After she finishes her degree she hopes to work for an international corporation like Unilever or Coca Cola.
Matapa Maila
Age: 24.
From: Johannesburg.
Occupation: A Lead Logistics advisor for Sasol Oil. She has a post graduate honours degree in Logistics from UNISA. She has also registered with Wits University for a leadership in oil and economics degree in 2010. Her dream is to complete an MBA at the London School of Economics.
Melody Zulu
Age: 24.
From: Johannesburg.
Occupation: Full-time model.
Michelle Bruno
Age: 24.
From: Durban.
Occupation: Education student at Edgewood Campus in Durban. Her future plans are to further her studies in the field of Educational Psychology. Her intention is to one day have her own educational psychology practice.
Nicole Flint
Age: 21.
From: Pretoria.
Occupation: A Public Relations Coordinator for Just Plain Media. She also performs on air duties as “The Young Apprentice” on Jacaranda 94.2’s Breakfast Show and is still to complete a Journalism Diploma through the Tshwane University of Technology. Her ultimate goal is to become an accomplished TV presenter and news anchor.
Taki Simeli
Age: 22.
From: Johannesburg.
Occupation: A third year BA Communications and English student at Varsity College in Sandton, Taki wishes to pursue a future in communications.

Interestingly I see that Nicole Flint has the most comments on her
picture on Snaparazzi - I'm thinking it must be because she's on radio so she's top of mind for people who listen. Not that it counts of course - a team of bexperts (beauty experts/so cheesy, I know) choose who takes the title.
