Monday 4 January 2010Episode 651 As our characters reminisce on the highs and lows of 2009, Mpumi quits her job - to Fats' surprise and dissatisfaction. Jacob's health is improving whilst Stone's recovery isn't as rapid.
Dr Makhatini stresses the importance of sorting out domestic issues for Stone's sake. Kop gives Mamokete an ultimatum. Naomi manipulates an oblivious Miles into becoming her accomplice in Dan's euthanasia.
Tuesday 5 January 2010Episode 652 Ronald, a.k.a. Travis Tramplemain, manages to halt the unplugging of Dan from life support. . Miles attempts to intervene, only to have his own suspicions raised about whether Naomi has given him the full picture of her relationship with her husband.
An anxious Mamokete hasn't slept since Jacob proposed to her. After finally seeing Jacob's sketch of her, she decides it's time to make a decision. The realities of being unemployed hit Mpumi like a ton of bricks.
Wednesday 6 January 2010Episode 653 Naomi seeks legal advice on her situation with Dan. Miles confronts Naomi after Travis Tramplemain spills the beans about her true relationship with her husband.
She admits she was responsible for Dan's accident but weaves an entirely new web of deceit around Miles. Mamokete gives Jacob and Kop her decision.
Thursday 7 January 2010Episode 654 Kop is gracious but firm with Jacob in the aftermath of Mamokete's decision. Fats begins to fret about the pressure Mpumi's joblessness is placing on his finances.
Mpumi and Puleng decide to go into business together. Naomi allows Miles to persuade her to end Dan's life. Lu, on her return from holiday, discovers a disturbing note from Wandi.
Friday 8 January 2010Episode 655 Thula, struggling to find caterers for the private function at KW, reluctantly accepts Fats' solution. Naomi's world is rocked when she realises there's no ADAPT or Travis Tramplemain and rushes home to find a crucial piece of evidence missing.
Having received the results of the paternity test, a torn Lu meets Curtis behind David's back.
Stone finally takes the plunge and tells Jacob about his sexuality.
Monday 11 January 2010Episode 656 Fats convinces Mpumi to do the cooking job on her own without Puleng. S'bu and Gail return from Cape Town to find Naomi living in the house.
Miles provides an abridged version of what happened to Dan, leaving out the small detail that Naomi pulled the plug on her husband. Hearing a noise outside late at night, Kop investigates and discovers it is a departing Jacob.
Tuesday 12 January 2010Episode 657 S'bu learns something suspicious at Dan's memorial service. Naomi gets an SMS supposedly from ADAPT. Jacob tells Kop he can't accept Stone's homosexuality.
Stone, ready to be discharged from hospital, collapses in immense physical pain after being told of his dad's departure. Mpumi keeps secret the offer she's received.
Wednesday 13 January 2010Episode 658 David's unhealthy fascination with Naomi seems to grow, as do S'bu's suspicions of her.
Self-loathing Stone suffers a major setback in his recovery and Dr Makhatini desperately tries to reach out to him. In Soweto, it's Hell's Kitchen at the Kilowatt, as Mpumi and Puleng enter into a full scale cooking war.
Thursday 14 January 2010Episode 659 Fats tries to talk Thula into cancelling the competition and giving the job to Mpumi as "promised". Stone loses interest in everything around him and sinks into depression.
Naomi and S'bu work well as a team at their first studio session and the ice begins to thaw between them.
Friday 15 January 2010Episode 660 On the eve of the cook-off, things blow up between Puleng and Mpumi. Mamokete and Tshidi intervene by prying them apart, whilst a desperate Fats attempts to bribe two of the judges.
Dr Makhatini has a suspicion Stone is about to do something terrible. Lu finally opens the paternity test results and is shocked by what she discovers. Miles asks Naomi to remain at the Vilakazi household, as his lover.
Monday 18 January 2010Episode 661 Will Dr Makhatini save Stone? Miles and Naomi confess their love for each other. The big cook-off happens between Mpumi and Puleng with sabotage and skulduggery added to the mix. Naomi and S'bu conflict over a marketing strategy. Naomi wants to buy a gift for Lu and David's baby.
Tuesday 19 January 2010Episode 662 Dr Makhatini reveals to Stone, who believes no one understands him, that he is gay and also attempted suicide. S'bu's niggling suspicions about Naomi escalate as she continues to press him to leak Joy's single to the public.
Miles' surprise siding with Naomi on the pirating issue leads him to believe she is more than just an employee at Hustle. Fats admits to Mpumi that he sabotaged her dish.
Wednesday 20 January 2010Episode 663 Naomi tries to cosy up to Lu, who finds her approach - with a garment for her unborn baby - a little weird.
Miles tells S'bu he's willing to defer the decision about the marketing campaign to his son in order to demonstrate that his own feelings for Naomi are not clouding his decision-making capabilities.
Stone tells Thula he's thinking about coming out to his friends. Tshidi has a suggestion as to how Mpumi can repair her friendship with Puleng.
Thursday 21 January 2010Episode 664 Mpumi saves the day and her friendship with Puleng. Stone moves closer to coming out although Thula is not sure it's a good idea. S'bu cannot lose his gnawing anxiety about Naomi so meets the mysterious woman who knew Dan - and she has some startling revelations.
Friday 22 January 2010Episode 665 Miles is upset that S'bu has been secretly investigating Naomi. Lu has an unexpected encounter with one of the security guards who formerly protected her home.
Stone prepares himself for hospital discharge and to resume his life - with some changes that include a surprise request of Dr Makhatini.
Mpumi and Puleng have their first official catering job and are suddenly faced with the realities of starting their own business.
Monday 25 January 2010Episode 666 Naomi insinuates someone at the studio must have stolen the track when Theo Cele explodes over the grabbing-headlines "piracy" of Joy's single. David requests the new security company deploy a certain security guard elsewhere.
Thula makes Stone aware of Fats and Suffocate's homophobia. Dr Makhatini declines the Khuses' invitation to supper. Magic Chicken is a hit at Kilowatt.
Tuesday 26 January 2010Episode 667 Things don't go smoothly as Puleng and Mpumi cook for the wedding. Fiona tells S'bu a very disturbing story about Naomi.
Stone, with some encouragement and support from Dr Makhatini, announces to his family that he will be coming out to the neighbourhood. There is an unexpected aftermath.
Wednesday 27 January 2010Episode 668 The security guard has information that could expose David to Lu. Behind the scenes, David is doing whatever it takes to get rid of him.
S'bu has become suspicious of Naomi and her involvement in her husband's accident, thanks to the information from Dan's former lover.
Stone is at a major crossroads: is he really ready to come out to his friends, regardless of the repercussions?
Thursday 28 January 2010Episode 669 S'bu continues his crusade to discredit Naomi by trying to convince Gail and Miles to meet Fiona. However Naomi has a very nasty and painful plan to circumvent that idea. Stone says goodbye to Dr Makhatini.
Mamokete cannot come to terms with Stone's plans to come out. Before leaving town Dr Makhatini tells her about Stone's suicide attempt.
Friday 29 January 2010Episode 670 David bribes the security guard to keep silent about what he knows about David's role in the attack on Wandi and Lu.
S'bu's suspicions are immediately re-ignited when Fiona's flatmate phones to reveal she never returned home from yesterday's meeting.
Mamokete messes up again with Stone when she reveals she knows about his suicide attempt.
