Carte Blanche this Sunday (21 February 2010):
PotholesA KwaZulu-Natal chef is suing the Department of Transport after an accident that led to the amputation of her forearm. The cause of the crash? A pothole. She is one of many road users who’ve had enough of our hazardous road surfaces, especially when millions have been spent on a remote road near Transport Minister Sbu Ndebele’s country residence. Carte Blanche goes pothole-hunting.

It’s an oil storage facility, similar to the one at Buncefield that caused the biggest explosion in peacetime Europe five years ago. Carte Blanche travels to Mandela Bay for a health, wealth and safety check.
