NYC Inside OutPremiered: Monday, 8 March 2010 at 22h00
New York is the story of human ingenuity and endeavour on a grand scale. This series shows what makes cities so remarkable, through the lives of people engaged in some of the toughest, dirtiest and most dangerous jobs in the world.
The show also spotlights hi-tech the science and mechanics that create order out of chaos every day of the week.
PrehistoricPremiered: Tuesday, 16 March 2010 at 22h00
This graphics intensive series goes on a backwards timeline journey to see what stood, lived, fought and died in our backyard hundreds, thousands, even millions of years ago.
For example, the high-rises and sprawl of modern Los Angeles revert to farmland and settlements, then desert. Spinning back further in time, the show reveals a lush green land prowled by woolly mammoths and saber-toothed tigers.
Back even further, we see the land itself form as two continental plates slam together in a violent upheaval. Rewinding to the age of dinosaurs, we witness pterodactyls circling the skies over an ancient ocean filled with sharp-toothed marine dinosaurs in search of their prehistoric prey.
2012 ApocalypsePremier date: Sunday, 28 March 2010 at 20h10
Looks cool
Doomsday fanatics believe that a lost civilisation predicted our fate more than 1,000 years ago - that the world will come to an end on 21st December 2012.
They claim that fire will pour down from the skies and the oceans will rise up and swallow the land. They are adamant destruction on this date is certain, and evidence confirming our impending doom can be found in ancient calendars and the movements of the stars and planets.
2012 Apocalypse investigates these plausible planetary disasters and whether or not they determine if the end of life on Earth really is lurking just around the corner.
