Tonight (25 March) M-Net's celebertainment show All Access announced that TV personality, DJ, producer and rapper ProVerb will be the new Season 6 Idols co-host, alongside Season 5 host Liezel van der Westhuizen.

ProVerb, who's still in gameplay on Survivor Santa Carolina, launched his rap career in 1999 and has since released numerous albums including The Book of ProVerb and Write of Passage.

He also co-hosted on Channel O's music show O-Boma, presented an MC competition on SABC1's Jam Alley and made TVSA blogger Cheesa's Top 10 Rappers in Mzansi list at the end of 2009.

He has his own Saturday and Sunday radio show Pro-File on Metro FM and produces the station's Drive-Time show.

Auditions for Idols kick off soon - they start in Cape Town after the Easter Weekend, on Tuesday 6 April and end in Bloemfontein on Saturday, 8 May.

These are the audition dates and venues:

Cape Town
Date: Tuesday, 6 April, 2010
Venue: Cape Town International Convention Centre

Durban
Date: Saturday, 17 April, 2010
Venue: Gateway shopping centre

Johannesburg
