Tonight (25 March) M-Net's celebertainment show
All Access announced that TV personality, DJ, producer and rapper
ProVerb will be the new Season 6
Idols co-host, alongside Season 5 host
Liezel van der Westhuizen.
ProVerb, who's still in gameplay on
Survivor Santa Carolina, launched his rap career in 1999 and has since released numerous albums including The Book of ProVerb and Write of Passage.
He also co-hosted on Channel O's music show
O-Boma, presented an MC competition on SABC1's
Jam Alley and made TVSA blogger Cheesa's
Top 10 Rappers in Mzansi list at the end of 2009.
He has his own Saturday and Sunday radio show Pro-File on Metro FM and produces the station's Drive-Time show.
Auditions for Idols kick off soon - they start in Cape Town after the Easter Weekend, on Tuesday 6 April and end in Bloemfontein on Saturday, 8 May.

Auditionees need to be between the ages of 16 and 30; and can once again audition with a musical instrument.
No new replacement judge has been announced for Aussie Dave (Thompson) yet. Each city will have a
guest judge joining the panel in the build-up to the live shows.
Those confirmed so far are The Parlotones' Khan Morbee in Jozi and Freshlyground's Zolani Mahola in Cape Town.
