INTERNET COUNTRY code TOP LEVEL DOMAIN za. still relevent or not?

Written by Simomavuso@vodamail.co.za from the blog Relevency of internet top level domain on 23 May 2010

The internet country code top level domain is za, meaning ZUID-AFRIKA. The word zuid-afrika is a legacy of the tme when DUTCH was used as an official language in SOUTH AFRICA. (ie before it was replaced by afrikaans).  After the DUTCH was replaced by AFRIKAANS, the name changed to SUID-AFRIKA (which means SOUTH AFRICA today).
Considering the above information, is it still relevent for us to continue using the internet country code domain za in our web and email addresses today?

Hey Simo - welcome to TVSA! Such an interesting question - never thought about it before - now that you mention it, it should really be .co.sa
