Various primetime schedule changes kick-off on SABC2 today (Monday, 14 June 2010) for the duration of the World Cup.
The time-change is to establish a regular schedule for signature shows to accomodate games that will be broadcast live, resulting in a bizarre and illogical shift in the programming which includes movies and ... (wait for it and rant!) ... a random rebroadcast of the irrelevant 2007 series Andries Plak, which runs Mondays to Thursdays at 20h30 - starting today too (Monday, 14 June).
Eight World Cup matches air live.
Shows affected:
Motswako moves from 21h30 to
20h00 on Mondays.
Muvhango moves from it's regular 21h00 timeslot to
19h30, Mondays to Thursdays.
50/50 moves from 19h30 to
21h00 on Mondays.
Sportsnite moves from 21h30 to
20h30 on Fridays.
These return to their regular times once the tournament ends.
The news bulletins and other signature shows such as
7de Laan,
Pasella and
Afro Café remain in their usual timeslots.
