The search has wrapped. After months of scouting for a new presenter for LIVE, SABC1 announced the winner of the Talent Search during the show's World Cup timeslot: Saturday at 18h30.

Voting lines closed on Friday 4 June and on Saturday (12 June) 19-year Capetonian Minenhle Dlamini scooped the title from the three other hopefuls.

As we all knew would happen, Minenhle has filled a spot vacated by T'bo Touch, who has officially said his farewell as co-host of the show.

Yesterday (Monday, 14 June) he was back on screen in the new World Cup companion show Mzansi Insider, which gives behind-the-scenes news about SABC1. The show is on daily at 18h15 and runs for the duration of the tournament.

With the introduction of Minenhle, the presenter line-up has shuffled: former roving presenter Phila Mazibuko has joined headline host Bonang Matheba as regular co-host; and Minenhle takes over his rover.

Word is this will remain the setup moving forward. Our take on it: we want Minenhle to co-host with Bonang. If she did it would make it the first primetime series to be hosted co-ed.

It would be a win-win for everyone: girls could have fun and guys would be very pleased. We're convinced it would set a winning trend.

*Back to reality.* Minenhle covers her first official story for the show tomorrow, Youth Day, Wednesday, 16 June. She'll be at the Moretele Park viewing area to soak up the vibe of the Youth Day street carnival to the backdrop of the game between Bafana Bafana and Uruguay.

A refresh about Minhenhle:

Born and raised in Durban, she now lives between Cape Town and Jozi.
She is loud, fun, energetic, loves people and has an element of being a drama queen with brain for business.
She is studying Film and Media, drama and economics at UCT.
She believes she will manage to fit presenting into her schedule because she has always been a busy person and has had to juggle her sport, performing arts and academics.
She entered the competition because she understands that it is the biggest show in SA and she dreams big.
She believes that her value will be to bring her youthful energy that the whole of South Africa can relate to.

this girl is a fake Bonang. Did you guys see how she tries to be like Bonang when presenting. She was all Bonang on Saturday and even went as far as calling herself Intombi yo Mzulu.<<<< I actually thought the same thing and hence i switched channels 2 minutes later. She's nothing i haven't seen before, sadly. But she's on eye-candy and i feel we'll be seeing more of her in the entertainment zone

I liked Nandi on the surface, I did not see her audition on live but I could see her endorsing beauty products, do fashion shoots and on the cover of magazines giving the show more publicity

The reason why i dont like visiting ppl in their houses yile. I was in my friend's place on Sat. I ask her politely to change the channel but nah, she avoid me saying lezi zinto zabantwana wethu. I was forced to watch gladiator. Ngicele indlela before time bcoz I wanted to leave at 9 but at 7 i went home but unfortunately i was late when I got home mffiiimmmm.

There is nothing wrong with being down to earth and grounded, we have an example being Zizo Beda, she is also in the limelight but not preaching us about being intombi yomxhosa.

Lucky me I only saw her once when she was begging for the votes.

The only thing I dnt like is the fact that she does not take her education seriously and she is capable. How do u pass only two courses out of 8 first year. In her second year she failed drama and quit @ UCT. She tells lies that she is studyign ECONOMICS,FILM AND MEDIA AND DRAMA which is a lie! She excluded. Anyway, i was just going to say that after watching that Nandi girl on Live and O-Access, i really think she's a talent and unique(gotta feeling we'll be seeing her soon). I think u guys are too quick to judge newcomers.There is no way Mine can be great because I think this is her first TV job and she still have a lot to acquire.You cannot expect her to be tops within few days just give the gorgeous Mine a chance to prove that she is great.

lejazz the girl is beautiful and can sure present but she must elanr to be Silent, and not come and defend her self, she sure knows being in the limelight is as harsh as the nurses blocking hospital gates. Minnie go to your agency and get some advice on how to shy away from critics, dnt read articles like these, dont even try to argue with people who dont see your craft as you do, otherwise you will fall like, hence i suggest you ask for tips from Bonang, Nohle etc.

i am asking myself if it was Shashwi posting your results here, would you be reply to her as she knows how to kill people's spirits. This is going to happen again and again just do your job and leave people to talk as much as they want about you, besides you must know once people talk about you that can only mean you have arrived it's up to you to fight on staying long, ask Kim Kardashian.

mna guys friday i dont watch tv kuba i go to khehla's place e cosmo city where Phila Mazibuko was there a very down to earth guy shame we even took a pic together(it beats me ukuthi ufike njani there as it is sort of like a township tavern but it was nice have a sheleb there) as during the week i watch muvhango and read magz thats how i know him..

advises, fokes? Presenting on live may just be where it all ends as far as a career is concerned for you. You do need something to back it up with.
