It's nearly the end of the year, and it's the time we reflect on the best and worst of 2011 South African television. So, I've decided to do our own television awards, and the best part of it is...you decide who deserves to be the best and who was a dissapointment. Below are the categories, and everybody is allowed to submit only ONE NOMINEE PER CATEGORY. Here are the categories:
- Soapie of the Year
- Drama of the Year
- Comedy/Sitcom of the Year
- Advertisement of the Year
- Talk Show of the Year
- Reality Show of the Year
- Magazine Show of the Year
- Actuality Show of the Year
- Worst Show of the Year - SABC1
- Worst Show of the Year - SABC2
- Worst Show of the Year - SABC3
- Worst Show of the Year - e.tv
- Worst Advertisement of the Year
There will be two categories, namely Best Show of the Year and Worst Show of the Year. For Best Show of the Year, the show with the most nominations among the 'Best' categories overall will get that accolade, and for Worst Show of the Year, the show with the most nominations among the 'Worst' categories overall will get that accolade. Remember, you are only nominating/voting for LOCAL SHOWS. If you have categories that you think should be included here, please comment with the category name and your choice of nominee, and depending on how many people suggested that category we will then include it above. The last day to submit nominees is on the 25th (this Friday). On the 28th the shows with the most amount of votes/nominations will be announced as the winners. Let's have fun, and hopefully it will become an annual thing. Don't forget to enter the category name and your nomination...
