As always, MTV fans hold the “Power of the Popcorn” awards in their hands with voting available online via www.mtvbase.com up until Saturday 2 June 2012. Voting for “Movie of the Year” will remain open throughout the live event on Sunday 3 June.

On the red carpet, British TV host and fashion expert Louise Roe will return as MTV's international guest correspondent for the second year in a row. Roe will be chatting up all the A-list celebs on the red carpet as part of a special edition of “MTV At The Movies" as part of MTV’s global coverage.

Most recently, Roe served as co-anchor of ABC's 2012 Oscars Red Carpet Show. She also covered the 2011 Royal Wedding for E! and the 2011 MTV EMA red carpet in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Later this year, Roe will host the second season of the popular and empowering reality series “Plain Jane”, which will air across MTV’s international channels.

Chart-topping indie-pop group fun. is the first musical performance announced for the ceremony. Their debut single We Are Young (feat. Janelle Monáe) is currently the unofficial anthem for the MTV audience and dominated the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for six consecutive weeks.

Known as one of the most outrageous and distinctive televised award shows, the awards will feature its trademark individuality and irreverence. Fusing the network’s musical core with the wonder and amazement of the comedy, drama, adventure and mystery inherent to the movie-going experience, the telecast is set to provide more laughs, surprises and one-of-a-kind moments with Hollywood’s biggest stars gathering to honour fan-favourites from the past year.
