The Royal Bodyguard PREMIERE – Season 1 – (6 Episodes) From Tuesday 5 June at 20:00 on BBC Entertainment (channel 120 on DStv)Series continues every Tuesday at 20:00
The Royal Bodyguard follows the escapades of Captain Guy Hubble (Sir David Jason), an ex-guardsman who saw action in Cyprus and Northern Ireland.
Now Head of Security at Buckingham Palace car park, he is surprisingly appointed as Royal Bodyguard after saving the Queen's life in an act of bravery on the day of the State Opening of Parliament.
This is much to the frustration of Hubble's boss Colonel Dennis Whittington, who is desperate to see the back of Hubble and knows only too well about his relentless mishaps.
Hubble takes his new role very seriously but soon manages to upset foreign ambassadors, his colleagues and members of the public as he haphazardly carries out his security checks and takes on personal rescue missions for the Queen and her family.
Hubble manages to endanger Royal security repeatedly and on a colossal scale, yet somehow comes up smelling of roses every time.
Twenty Twelve PREMIERE – Season 1 – (6 Episodes) From Tuesday 5 June at 22:00 and 22:35 on BBC Entertainment (channel 120 on DStv)Series continues every Tuesday at 22:00
Hugh Bonneville, Jessica Hynes, and Olivia Colman star in this six-part comedy about the people paddling hard beneath the water to make the Olympics happen in London in 2012.
Filmed in a documentary style, Twenty Twelve deals with such hot topics as how to phase the traffic lights across London to get people from west to east, who to sell the Taekwondo hall to after the event, what to do when protesters leave large quantities of horse dung on the doorstep in protest at the location of the equestrian events site, and how to cope with sportsmen who want to help but are just too dull.
From getting a busload of non-English speaking Brazilians from A to B, who to appoint to run the Cultural Olympiad, and what to do when the much-vaunted wind turbines won’t turn because there’s no wind, it’s all in a day’s work for the men and women whose job it is to stage the greatest sporting event in the world.
Deliciously topical, wickedly funny and sometimes uncannily close to real life, Twenty Twelve is a cautionary tale on how not to stage a major global sporting event.
Hugh Bonneville as Ian Fletcher
Jessica Hynes as Siobhan Sharpe
Olivia Colman as Sally Owen
Karl Theobald as Graham Hitchins
Amelia Bullmore as Kay Hope
Vincent Franklin as Nick Jowett

The Kangaroo Gang: Thieves By Appointment PREMIERE Monday 11 June at 21:00 on BBC Entertainment (channel 120 on DStv)Narrated by Barry Humphries, the dramatised documentary The Kangaroo Gang: Thieves by Appointment tells the true story of a brazen band of Australian thieves who moved to London in the 1960s and ran riot for more than a decade, pulling off the most daring heists that Scotland Yard had ever seen.
Led by five charismatic master thieves: ‘The King’ Arthur Delaney, ‘Wee Jimmy’ Lloyd, Jack ‘The Fibber’ Warren, Billy ‘The General’ Hill and ‘Gorgeous Georgie’ Gardener, the team targeted the plush emporia of Knightsbridge, the fine jewellers of Mayfair, and the luxury retailers of Paris, Rome and beyond.
Operating at a time before CCTV, they elevated shoplifting to an art form practised without guns or violence - and they always found a way to simply ‘disappear’ with the loot.
In 1990, long after their heyday was over, one returned to London for the biggest heist of them all. Delaney had always dreamed of robbing the most famous jewellery store in London - Asprey of Bond Street.
From the team behind successful series Tough Nuts: Australia’s Hardest Criminals, this drama documentary is a mixture of heightened dramatised reconstructions, interviews and archive material based on the best-selling book: King of Thieves: The Adventures of Arthur Delaney and the Kangaroo Gang by Adam Shand.

It’s not long before they’re dealing with their first case…
A masked man wanders the streets of London, carrying out ritualistic murders in historic locations – Smithfield, Petticoat Lane… He’s taking Luther on a tour through the narrow alleyways and back streets of the city, using murders to mark out his territory and working up to one final masterpiece…
