As reported on TVSA late last year, SABC1 has ordered a second season of the popular drama series
Intersexions.
The series first premiered at the end of 2010 and featured 25 independent but interrelated stand-alone episodes that followed the AIDS infection chain.
No premiere date has been confirmed for the new season yet but word is it'll most likely premiere in early 2013, for a 26-episode season.
The series has been working on the season since late year with an emphasis on audience participation. In November the show put out a call for viewers to share their personal stories to be featured on the show and now producers have put out a casting call for actors to bring the stories to life.
In early August the series kicked off the search for cast in a three-city road show, starting in Johannesburg then moving to Durban and Cape Town.
In addition to auditions for the series, each road show features various other activities including entertainment by popular DJ's and free HIV testing and counselling.
Cast members from Season 1 are also on hand at each venue to chat to auditionees, to give their casting tips and to share their experiences on the show.
The Johannesburg event took place at Bassline, 10 Henry Nxumalo Street, Newtown on Saturday, 4 August.
