Channel O has announced the nominees for the channel's upcoming 2012 Music Video Awards.

Now in their ninth year, the awards take place in Soweto for the first time this year, at Walter Sisulu Square in Kliptown on Saturday 17 November.

As is custom, viewers vote for the winners of each category. Voting opened at midnight on Saturday, 1 September and closes at midnight on Thursday, 8 November.
