SABC Group Executive Commercial Enterprises, AntonHeunis, commented on the continued partnership: “We are proudto be partnering with The Loerie Awards yet again. Our relationship dates back to 1978. The objective then was to inspire the improvement of the quality of television creative work. That objective is as pertinent now, as it was back then” he continued.
“We acknowledge with a deep sense of pride and appreciation, the immense value the South African Creative Industry has added to our business and look forward to engaging with our communications partners in the future."
SABC Radio broadcasts on average between 55 000 and 60 000 advertisements per month and the number increases to approximately 70 000 in peak season. SABC TV broadcasts on average between ten and twelve thousand advertisements per month. All of that belongs to the Creative Industry. This underscores the importance of the Industry to the SABC.
In simple terms, the more creative the advertisements, the higher the flighting frequency, which in turn translates into increased revenues. Further down the value chain clients end up with greater brand awareness, increased volumes of commercial activity and thriving businesses. It all starts with the creative process.” Mr. Heunis concluded.
