A heads-up that Quentin Tarantino will be guesting on
The Graham Norton Show on Tuesday night (29 January) - on BBC Entertainment at 21h00. He'll be talking about his film career in the wake of the release of
Django Unchained.
I have no doubt that him and Graham will get along famously
and that things will be a lot less cringeworthy between them than they were when Tarantino was interviewed by Channel 4 news anchor Krishnan Guru-Murthy.
Tarantino appeared on Channel 4 news earlier this month and he exploded at the anchor who kept pressing him to talk about violence in his movies and the impact on real life.
Tarantino refused to answer his questions, saying that he's spoken about the matter repeatedly and wasn't going to speak about it again. As you'll see from this video of the incident, things got
very awkward, uncomfortable and explosive between them:
Tarantino responded purrfectly I thought - Krishnan's questions about violence are so predictable and clichéd it's obvious that he didn't put any thought nor preparation into the interview. He clearly has no proper perspective on Tarantino's movies because if he did he'd know that the violence in his fliks has always delivered such a strong message
against violence.
There's no way Graham Norton will get it so wrong - he'll have a fresh and super perspective on things.
