Pete ripping his clothes off.
On Wednesday night (12 February) Marie Claire magazine hosted the launch of their annual Naked edition at the Waterfront in Cape Town. I hotfooted through for us to find out whose naked booty's are featured this year and snacked on a tasty titbit served up by MasterChef South Africa judge Pete Goffe-Wood.
Turns out he enjoys cooking up nothing between the sheets. 36 celebs are featured in this year's nude-fest and Pete's one of them. The cover stars Lee-Ann Liebenberg in a Demi Moore pose:
Pete's got the first billing inside the magazine in a photo with MasterChef Season 2 winner Kamini Pather - both of them are covered in flour.
It's Pete's first time ripping it all off in public but it's clear that he enjoys going naked a
lot. I chatted to him to find out how he feels about being naked generally and he spilt that he's very fond of it.
"I suppose I'm comfortable with it," he told me when I asked. "I didn't realise that I was comfortable enough to be naked in front of other people but generally round the house I like to get my kit off. It's uninhibiting, I go for a swim in the evening."
He also sleeps naked all of the time. Summer, winter, you name it, he's starkers. Except for on freezing nights when he wears a T-shirt.
Pete: "I find it restrictive (to sleep in clothes), I find it uncomfortable. In extreme cold I might sleep with a T-shirt but that's it."
Tashi: "With no boxers?"
Pete: "No, I find it restrictive, I can't roll over."
Tashi: "Have you ever been to Sandy Bay?"
Pete: "No, I've had no desire to do this publicly. Until now."
Pete and Kamini are first billed in the mag because this year's charity for the issue is The Lunchbox Fund which provides school lunches to disadvantaged children.
As you may know, Marie Claire's Naked issue is always in aid of a charity so Pete and Kamini represent the food scene with this year's charity being centred round food.
