Miss South Africa 2014 is ... Rolene Strauss!

21-year-old medical student Rolene Strauss has been crowned Miss South Africa 2014. The medical student, who shares a surname with her role model Jo-Ann Strauss, won the title during Sunday night's pageant which aired live on Mzansi Magic.

Her two princesses are Matlala Mokoko (2nd Princess) and Ziphozakhe Zokufa (1st Princess).

Besides changing Rolene's life, her win's a big deal for the science fratenity. As you may know if you scrutinised her biography, Rolene's a test tube baby.

I'm not even impressed I'm not even gonna act like I'm happy for this broad. Question is will she stand out at Ms Universe? They choose the same type of girl every year and they fade amongst exotic women at Ms Universe.

if you remember during the team of Melina Bam, when she was competing in Miss World/Universe people in America there were asking why Miss SA is not black. well done to her..

She was my top 5 favorite. Was so happy that she won. I think the question was the decider of who finally takes it...and Rolene beat the gals to it!

@Royal Child-then those Americans should get some education...thr are white South Africans!

Was only disappointed that Julia Peterson (i hope I got her name right) was not in the top 5.. That gal reminded me of Peggie Sue..she has class in her veins!

Royal Child, please spel correctly it is MELINDA BAM not MELINA. Why do you people always have to play the race card, it does not matter what color you are, Miss SA represent our country at Miss Universe.

Rolene is one of the most beautiful girls to have ever competed on the show. Worthy winner.
