It was very stressful seeing Rob get it all sooo wrong and have his skullduggerous air-time plan work against him but, at the same time, it was brilliant too, making every dig he poked at everyone more hysterical.
What was even funnier was that once Uchenna and Joyce and Meredith and Gretchen disappeared ahead of them he just assumed they were definitely lagging behind and didn't even consider the possibility that there actually, really was a better, earlier flight.
I wouldn't be taking it all in such chortly, happy spirits if it had had any sort of really negative consequence for them of course. Instead it all seemed to be working out exactly as I wanted it to when Team America took the brunt of the mistake and nearly got whacked as a result.
My best was seeing Ron's teeth in the distance, hovering on top of that ancient ruin, with Phil and Rob and Amber looking across at him from the pit stop - what was he doing? I know it wasn't easy finding those key things but he seemed to just be standing there, casually looking out at the view. He must have been trying to see if Rob and Amber where finished?
It would have been very excellent seeing Ron and Kelly destroyed in those moments after but I knew it wasn't going to happen the moment Phil said "May be eliminated". I just don't understand why he continues to give it away the way he does.
I'm assuming that the result of it is gonna unfortunately be that they're strengthened by it all. They're gonna kiss again and make-up (but not shag - there's just noo ways) in that luxury hotel room and they'll watch that super cool TV.
They'll also have the best rest out of everyone at a point where it matters most and Ron's not gonna have a problem with having no moolah nor provisions.
The fight they had in the taxi was as juicy as I expected and the most incredible thing about it was that there was just no ways Kelly was gonna back down after she said his being a POW was proof that he didn't commit to anything.
As Ron and every single other peep in the entire world guffawed in delight at how pathetically ridiculous she was being she sat very stoically, as if she was nodding in agreement with herself at how right she was. Not believing it clearly isn’t option for her because it would mean it's only her he can't commit to.
To be fair, Ron's playing a very slapworthy game isn't he? He doesn't want to be with her but then he'll do things like apologise and pretend everything's okay. I reckon he's just doing this to get her motivated to win. It's probably some kind of under-cover technique he's learnt in Special Ops as a way of saving the team - kiss the troops and keep the peace sort of thing.
As a result of all his brainwashing ways their still being there is very horrible, as are Meredith and Gretchen. Seeing them do so well didn't impress me at all – espesh Meredith who lived up to his name big time. I've been confused about why he's never wanted to change it and this week he proved exactly why.
I couldn't believe the way he let Gretchen scale that wall without even trying to offer to do it instead. Neither Rob, Uchenna and not even Ron hesitated for a moment before saying they'd do it but Meredith didn't give a smidgen of a hint that he was prepared to.
He actually didn't do one single thing to even vaguely assist them this week. He spent the entire time following Gretchen around, mumbling after her high pitched “oh my Gods” and the way he said she was a toughie and could do it while he waited for her to climb was just totally loser.
He's obviously got issues about her almost killing him by not helping with the elephant last week but then he should have said something in the moment.
The pair of them were just lucky to find themselves being misled by Rob about the plane and teamstering up with Uchenna and Joyce. Hows the two of them for having solidified themselves into very serious kickbutt contenders?
They raced with a precision and passion that seemed to come so easily, never hestitating for a moment, following each thing they needed to do with not even a thought of panic.
As Joyce said at the beginning, they've shed everything that's held them back, they've got no baggage at all and have found an empowering freedom through both the race and each other.
If there's anyone to be worrying about when it comes to Rob and Amber it's them and I don't want to because I don't want to be in a position where I have to choose. With everyone else it's easy to want them to stuff off as no-one else deserves the bucks, but both these teams do.
The only way to solve the dilemma is to no longer worry about who's the biggest threat to whom and to have both of them battle it out to the end, with the Piggest of them all not joining them.
It's tricky deciding between the other two as to who the worst is but I'm gonna go with Meredith and Gretchen - I've had more than enough of them and I also quite like the idea of Kelly having one or two more humdinging POW putdowns up her T-shirty sleeves.
