Remembering Past Delights
RECAP

There are six candidates left in Trumpy's 13-week interview for The Apprentice, and during the latest episode he paused, took us through a recap of what's happened since the start of show and showed unseen footage, which as far as I'm concerned never happened. And which I don't want to talk about.

Waving At Oma

It was excellent seeing Omarosa back in the boardroom - I gave a happy wave and chortle until - the extra footage. The footage of:

* Omarosa lying to Amy by telling her people were talking about her behind her back and laughing when they weren't,
* Kristi saying Omarosa had the money before giving it to her during the fleamarket task, in which money went missing,
* and of course, the footage of her getting hit on the head with the piece of plaster and seeing not only a doctor (who said she was fine) but also going to the hospital.

It was tooo horrible to see because once it was all put together like that I understood why everyone had to go celebrate madly at that oddball Party Lounge place after she got fired. This is something I never truly felt properly before and I got a bit hysterical, calling out nooo and goodbyeeee and arrrgh all at the same time.

Then by the end I felt totally better because all the extra footage showed that The Donald knows his job interview would never have been the same if it hadn't been for Omarosa. Goooo Omarosa!

Certifiably Insane

It also wouldn't have been the same without Sam who, for some reason, seemed quite subdued in comparison with how I remember him. How did that happen? He was still the same - but smaller almost. I know he was small before - but he just seemed not as much - I think it may have been the phonecall he made to his dad for strength and the fact that he said he'd learnt something afterwards that suckered me.

I really liked those extra post-firing-outside interviews. This is where Sam said he'd learnt he needed to be a leader and that people thought he was certifiably insane, which is exactly why I was suckered because this surely can't have been surprising news to him?

The weather was sooo perfect in those interviews. I wonder if they all came together and did them in one day, and if so what Omarosa was doing while the others did theirs. Obviously not learning stuff about herself - as we saw from hers.

I definitely noticed that in New York the wind never seems to blow the way it does in Cape Town.

Moment Of Clarity

Troy should actually come to Cape Town - I think he'd be happy, because people tend to have moments of clarity with oddball ideas. Seeing him and Kwame doing the whole selling Kwame's name thing outside Planet Hollywood it really struck me just how Tarantino cool the whole thing was in that Kwame's name really does sound like he should be celebrity.

Kwame Jackson. It definitely sounds like it means something without needing to know why nor where nor what.

Duped

I was of course also very pleased to see Tammy again and would like to know why there was no shot of that wall in the apartment with the yellow paint on after it dried. That's all she was wanting to know, and there was definitely a jagged line. Yet everyone made as if she was being pathetic in asking about it.

I do see why her whole duped thing was a problem though - and did you notice how cunning The Donald was? When Katrina said she's never been duped, he said - suggesting he didn't believe her: "I've been duped," just after Tammy said it. She'd obviously taken the cue from him in blurting it out and I don't think she did it because she thought she'd look good in his eyes. I think it was blurt. Which is why she was fired.

That's the thing! All the certifiably insane - which also includes Heidi of course - have left. All except Katrina and Nick. But they're not juicy - they're just appalling.

Katrina's hypocrisy was proven in the snippets of past tasks showing her all over the men - did you see how the guy in the art gallery was looking at her? Eeeeeeeuw. And Bill with Nick. Them sitting at the table and talking and being so buddy-buddy.

I used to think Bill was such a genuinely nice guy but after last week and this there's something going on with him. His not giving Amy loads of credit in the boardroom for the advertising idea last week and his liaison with Nick about getting rid of Erika - could what Katrina was saying about him not listening to her ideas be true? I haven't heard one idea from her (the letter to Troy doesn't count), but still - you never know.

Who Will Be ... The Apprentice?

Just like I didn't know that there had been 216 000 people who applied for the job. Did you hear The Donald saying that? That's a lot of people, it's down to six and I'm looking very forward to them zapping into it next week.

I thought maybe they'd go it solo and tackle tasks individually and stuff, but from the preview it seems they're still gonna work on projects. I assume it means they're gonna have to evaluate each other at some stage within it and if it does I'm very quizzy to see whether it gives people an advantage the way I think it will, because it's obvious there are pacts and alliances.

Kwame and Bill are never gonna turn on each other and there's Bill and Nick and Amy - is it a threesome?

For a recap episode it was okay. I would have liked more extra footage and goss though. But I suppose that's up to us. To look into everything again and see what we hadn't spotted previously. Jason for instance. I've never seen him before in my life!

Sightings and spottings of what was new goss to you please.
