Oh Brothers Where Art Thou?

High-Fives For The Dudes
No, noo - despite how groovily excellent Brain and Greg looked when it all happened - that seriously sucked.

I knew they were gonna come last because of how lazyified they suddenly became, but I didn't want it to be the actual end of them.

I'm usually delighted when a leg you suspect may be a non-elimination turns out not to be, but in this instance I was very disappointed, particularly because Meredith and Gretchen didn't come last instead.

Gretchen's constant running commentaries of high pitched sound effects have gone overboard into way too much to cope with - to the extent that her and Meredith's achievements just can't impress me.

She doesn't keep quiet for one single moment and she keeps getting worse! Also, she's such a prophet of doom with the way she's constantly telling Meredith what he shouldn't do and how it'll all end in disaster, that I wish it would.

I would far rather have had the brothers inspiring attitude stay for what can only be a future of killer action. They've been hysterical in how chilled they are with everything they face and the way they never had an issue with anything is amazing.

I was back to being confused about who's who which makes them even zingier. That you can separate them one week and not know the difference the next says loads about how close they are.

They actually make me jealous - I've never had brothers or sisters and reckon this kind of sibling kick butt is madly empowering. The way they dressed up for their whacking was the best and I thought Phil could have had much more of a chortle than he did.

His joke to Lynn and Alex about the Fashion police was very funny though, as was their idea to put on as much as possible before the pit-stop - which killed me. I can't stand having a moment of enjoying a team that I loathe to beyond distraction - which is exactly what happened.

I feel such a traitor saying that everything they did consistently worked out well for them, including the way Alex gently guided Lynn through the Roadblock. Speaking of which!

Did you see any crocodiles in that water?

They showed shots of hippos and diles lounging around etc but not once did I see any of them anywhere even vaguely near where the cars were.

Also ridiculous was that the stretch they had to go through was so short, even if they had gotten stuck there's just no ways any of them would have been chomped.

The wild life was really incredible wasn't it? The racers were very lucky seeing so many of them up as close as they did.

I can just imagine all the elephant and zebra and buck having a conference about TAR, discussing who's gonna be stage left and stage right, who's gonna appear when and who's gonna drop the ultimate humdingingly impressive poo for who.

I was delighted that they decided to leave Rob and Amber alone by not trying any funny business like over-turning their car. Clearly they understand exactly who deserves the torture and choosing to put sand in Lynn and Alex's cars was wise. My guess is it was that skulldugerous giraffe running away from Uchenna and Joyce.

Hows the two of them for getting themselves together? Wow, there's something about them that's changing.

It's as if there's a layer that's disappearing and revealing something new so that we're getting to see the real them. It was hysterical how Uchenna's African roots worked for them in the Detour and also cool how it inspired them towards their final finish.

It was horrible when they had to go back to fix up their roadblock though. It's something I know I would freak out at and then get freaked that I freaked. I'd be so fuming-angry with myself for not realising I'd made a mistake, I'd go storming off and get lost, even though I'd know I knew the way back.

Uchenna and Joyce handled it brilliantly - particularly in contrast with Gretchen who tried to make Meredith feel responsible for their missing the clue. I didn't feel a smidgen of sympathy for them when it happened.

I did feel sorry for Rob and Amber throughout everything though - I really don't like to see them so alone, with noo friends. I thought Amber looked quite pale too, like she was trying to be emotionally strong by not worrying about what everyone else was thinking of them.

They're so crucial to keeping things exciting and different in the race and it sucks that for this to happen they have to be so solo. At least they won the leg and have a steamy holiday in France to look forward to and they have each other - which they really do.

The way they speak to and look at each other shows that they care about each other very deeply. In everything they do they're definitely there for one other completely and only ever try to make the other stronger. Unlike Ron and Kelly!

I've realised what their biggest problem is - it's Ron and his relationship with women. He's a male chauvinist of the highest order who doesn't respect anything that makes a chick a chick.

The way he kept going on about Kelly being a ballet dancer, saying she should have been able to balance the goodies in the Carry It was unbelievable. It proved his man-love without a doubt.

Him telling Kelly to shut-up confirmed exactly how little respect he's got for her. I don't actually think he used the word *bleep!* when he said it, but he may as well have because it's no different.

Telling anyone to shut-up is a Pig thing to do, but telling the chick you're supposedly in love with to, that's just the worst thing ever.

As much as Kelly needs a slap for generally being her, coupled with her whiny beauty queen rubbish, I wish she'd just thump him on the head, then ditch him - right now. In the middle of everything. He knows he can't do it without her and it could get him grovelling. At least she called him a redneck, which was super.

As for the Khwai river lodge place they all ended up at - how cool would it be to arrive there and stay the night? That inviting pool and the brothers pecks splashing around in it.

Goodbyeee sweet Brothers Grimm. I hope you get lots more adverts with Jennifer Aniston.
