... and the top story making headlines this morning is Bafana Bafana, as well as the Springboks losses under the watchful eye of the world.
South African newspapers are today having a field day and hoping to sell quite a number of copies at the expense of the two teams.
Edging out: Springboks were edge-out by the dangerous Aussies
The Springboks got booted out of the 2011 Rugby World Cup yesterday culminating in coach Peter de Villiers quiting with shame. The Aussies wallopped our defending champions who are two-time Rugby World Cup winners - 1995 and 2007.
The Boks lost 9-11 to the Aussies during the quarter-finals edging out stage. It's worth noting that since the start of the World Cup, the Boks have never lost and it was only yesterday that they got beaten up and they cried like babies.
Titanic battle: The semis was a highly contested battle
We wanna congratulate them for representing the country with great astute. Making it to the quarter finals is a great achievement. However, it goes without saying that they are now losers //hides//.
However, the same cannot be said about Bafana Bafana. I am not sure if the Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane has had of the saying that understand all the rules of every competition you enter. Well, y'all have watched the game on Saturday when SA had a goalless draw when they played against Sierra Leone. Pitso celebrated that Bafana Bafana were number one in their group, misleading him to believe that the boys made it to the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations /Afcon/.

Pitso admitted that he wasn't properly informed that Bafana had to win Saturday's game in order for them to secure a spot in next year's Afcon.
The New Age today reports that Safa has written to Confederation of African Football /CAF/. "We have noted that Niger has qualified in our group, despite SA finishing on top of the group in terms of goal difference, which is a universally recognised means of seperating teams who are equal on points," said Safa in its letter of complaint to CAF.
Jumping the gun: Pitso celebrated not knowing his team will not touch the Afcon 2012 ball
Yazi shem, as much as I want Bafana Bafana to be in the Afcon, doesn't this writing of letters thing asking other teams to be taken out and SA be put in smack of "a sore loser" reaction? //hides//
Staying on the football pitch, The Sunday World reports that Mamelodi Sundowns star Teko Modise has chucked his wife out of their posh Ruimsig matrimonial home. This after the estranged couple had never-ending squabbles.
Divorcing: The pair is said to be headed to their nearest divorce court
Yazi, the pair are reported to have met back in 2008 and tied the knot quickly. They now have a child that's just over a year old.
Based on the story, it sounds like Teko is very bitter. The spooked and estranged wife, Felicia Modise, is now filing for divorce. We can only hope that at the end of the day, the two will not behave like sore losers and will not use their beautiful child in their silly bitter losing squables //hides//.
Moving right along, we are now going to the gay scene //hides//
Bottom niceness: Brooke's son is a bottom gay porn star
Yes mense, brace yourselves, lol. Katherine Kelly-Lang - who plays a man-snatcher in popular US soapie The Bold and The Beautiful - Brooke Logan - yes, as I was saying, her son is a popular actor as well. Nope, not just acting, he is a gay porn star!
radaronline.com reports. "Katherine’s son, Jeremy Skott Snider, appeared on an adult entertainment website called SeanCody.com in which he is pictured in compromising acts with another man, which are far too graphic to publish".
Katherine Kelly-Lang and her son as seen on radaronline
As a child, Katherine's son had a role in the soapie that mommy stars in. "“My name is Jeremy Skott Snider, and I have been involved in the entertainment industry since I was a child actor on The Bold and The Beautiful. My dad is a director and my mother is an actress so this industry runs in my veins, and I plan to carry on the legacy. I’m a well rounded guy with a positive and professional attitude,” reads his profile on some gay porn stars website.
I have seen an action picture from a scene in which he stars and Jeremy plays a very passive bottom. We guess he wins in terms on money and no strings attached fun . //hides//
Apparently, Katherine couldn't be reached for comment. However, sources say she had no knowledge of what her son does in the gay entertainment scene.
Moving to more local gay news. I gather there was a pride march for gay and lesbian people not so long ago or whenever. But we not gonna talk about that. We gonna talk about the Feather Awards. Apparently the Feathers this year have got even more
gay attitude.
Sophie Ndaba won Feather Award for Socialite of the year 2010 showing that partying hard pays off
The press release from the organisers goes: "Introduced in spectacular style at an invitation-only event in 2009, the Feather Awards are a tribute to the personalities, actors, sportspeople, and musicians who are an inspiration to the South African gay community. Humorous, sometimes controversial and always cheeky, the Feathers are a South African entertainment extravaganza like no other.
"Incorporating zany categories like Drama Queen of the Year, Hunk of the Year (awarded to a gentleman who you look at and ‘just want a strong hug’), and the Socialite of the Year (awarded to a person who’d attend ‘the opening of an envelope’), the Feathers have nominated personalities from Julius Malema to Khanyi Mbau, and everyone in between."
The Feather Awards will announce nominations on October 11 and will take place at an invitation only event on 8 November. We can't wait to see who the winners and losers will be.
Beautiful and back: Bonnie Henna is headed back to soapiville where she made a big name for herself.
The Tonight reports that veteran actress Bonnie Henna scored a role in popular soapie Rhythm City. I haven't been watching the soapie religiously but now that they have my fave actress on their cast, I will be tuning in come 2 November.
The Tonight reports that she will be starring opposite Class Act season 1 winner Sdumo Mtshali. She will be playing his wife. Congrats to Bonnie. As Tonight puts it, she is a
Bonnie Fide Star. She is a winner lol. Tonight says Bonnie played Roxanne in Backstage, just so they know, that is wrong, she played the mean and devious Zandi *hides*.
Brenda Fassie: Bringing Fassie back to life is a lucrative job
The Sunday Sun reports that Bongani Fassie is busy writing a film script about his mama Brenda Fassie. Bongani wanna bring his mama back to life. We are not sure if he is not
Too late for mama, because if I remember correctly, Duma Ndlovu is also busy working on a Brenda Fassie film. Le teng, last year there was a musical at the South African State Theatre here in Pretoria about it akere. But hey, variety is good. So, Bongani needs to win as well. People are cashing in on his legendry mama's legacy and he must also get something shem.
