Is Zwai Bala homophobic?

I read this lil article in DRUM about the drama between Bala Brothers. Apparently the group has broken up, Bala Brothers is no more as a group. Zwai only performs with Loyiso after Phelo left the group because Zwai does not approve of his homosexuality!

Phelo has since left Joburg to live in the Eastern Cape with his family. He had no choice but to leave coz he couldn't afford his rent as he was no longer performing. Apparently he also hung around with much older gay guys with whom he did all sorts of things that left him broke, DRUM reports.

Apparently Zwai knew that Phelo is gay but Phelo was too scared to admit it. Shem it could be because he knew how Zwai would react if he broke it down to him. Loyiso is said to be more supportive of his younger brother.

Hayi uZwai if he kicked Phelo out of the group because of his homosexuality that's very low and so homophobic of him!!! I mean his own brother??? Anyway it doesn’t matter even if it was not his brother.

I mean really, with so many homosexuals in the entertainment industry that he's in, he's still homophobic?! Or homophobia starts showing when homosexuality is close to home??

That's so disappointing of Zwai. Poor lil Phelo but Drum also reports that Lindelani Mkhize has taken him under his wing as part of Joyous 16.

I just hope they solve this matter as a family and wish Phelo all the best with his music career shem I hope he bounces back and pursues his music.

Ja, I expected better from Zwai. He should know better because this may cost him his career especially in a country like SA where people are encouraged to embrace their sexual orientation and do away with all sorts of descrimination.

Ja, they should resolve their issues and kaloku naye uPhelo needs to be responsible and not waste money on older gay guys.

I think Drum may have missed something.. I mean, Phelo is his brother. Maybe Zwai's problem is not the gayness but his lil brother being iresponsible with money and being these older gays' sugar daddies... I think that could be the issue here but any way, until Zwai opens up about the matter, we may never know the real truth.

If Zwai is indeed homophobic, then hai, he needs a serious reality check on life

My thoughts are that Phelo is the most talented of these Bala brothers, it was unfair of Zwai to do that - if he did do it i think he needs to sit down, being homophobic doesn't solve any problem, in fact it creates more, and neither does it boost the economy, he must ask Mugabe...

Poor lil Phelo indeed. I think Zwai has the most talent, yes he annoyed me on gospeli gold, but he has the MUSIC skills. ....heish but ya ne...may I sayu, in my time, there were no homesexual students in engineering, none so overtly homsexual, now, from first t 4rth year there is one. #just an observation!!

No man. Lets be honest. Drum did not do its homework they just chase the gay thing because it sounds more dramatic that Zwai has an issue because Phelo is gay. There is a bigger story here that this lazy writers left out. Phil Mphela wrote last year about Phelo being out of control. The article was really calling him to order because he was doing things that were really out of hand. Maybe Zwai is homophobic but I dont think that that is the whole story.

Mpondokazi, I did see KC and Lundi on Selimathunzi that day hayi sana they were so jelling and they are so alike in terms of their personality. I laughed through out their segment. I love them both yazi too much!

Karabo, Phelo did release an album sana but it didnt go anywhere. It just never took off. I only saw people throwing compliments of how Phelo is talented and all not talking about getting his album.

Shem yazi I saw his video the other day on LIVE I think, the song is about a girl I think, and so ke there is this girl with Phelo in the video. I could see that the boy shem does not know how to act oh so lovingly around a girl. It is just awkward. Shem ooZwai badlalile ngo Phelo!

Thato, please provide me with the link to the article Phil wrote about Phelo please wethu phela we also wanna read thle. The DRUM article made it seem like Zwai is homophobic coz they said he disapproves of Phelo's homosexuality not his lifestyle. So ke asazi thina until Zwai or anyone else sheds light.

I just read the article Phil wrote about Phelo HERE all I can is Phil saw this one coming. Zwai probably became aware of Phelo's bad behaviour that Phil points out in his article and made his decision about Phelo.
