The SONA Fashion

Yesterday, 09 February 2012, President Jacob G Zuma officially opened Parliament for the year 2012. Cape Town came into a standstill for the president's State Of the Nation Address that many anticipate every year.

Roads from the Cape Town International Convention Centre to Parliament were closed for the President and his Deputy to be transported to Parliament without any interruptions and of course to protect them.

People always look forward to hearing what the President is going to promise them for the year and if his promises for the previous year were achieved. Some people just don’t care shem or they pretend to not to? Aketsi.

Well some of us always look forward to seeing the politicians fashion too and of course to see the President's many wives. As usual Msholozi walked the red carpet with his first wife Makhumalo while the other 3 wives were already seated in the National Assembly waiting for uBaba to do his speech.

The president got welcomed by his Deputy President Mr. Kgalema Monthlante, who walked the red carpet with his gorgeous partner, Gugu Mtshali.

The President with his Deputy entered the National Assembly with all the other members of parliament and guests standing waiting to welcome the President in the National Assembly.

The Speaker, Mr. Max Sisulu asked the President to make his way to the podium to address the nation and Msholozi took his position. He made his long greeting and began with his speech cracking jokes here and there.

He even teased one Premier after trying to speak SeSotho saying “I speak Zutho nna”.

He also said "people should exercise mangaloku beziyeka besanda besanda" followed by huge laughter from MPs and guests in House. Msholozi was calm throughout his speech. He looked like he was enjoying every moment of it.

Those who heard every word of what the President said will maybe perhaps summarize for us while we take a look at these……lol

President Zuma with his first wife Makhumalo next to him. Behind them is Deputy Monthlante and his partner Gugu Mtshali. Next to the Deputy is the Speaker of the National Assembly Mr. Max Sisulu and next to Gugu Mtshali is the Chaiperson of the National Council of Provinces Mr. Mninwa Mahlangu.
This is during the singing of the national anthem.

Women who aren't afraid to share a man. The Presidents wives, MaNtuli and Madiba sharing a joke.

DA's Parliamentary Leader, Lindiwe Mazibuko. She arrived with her mom.

ANC's spokeperson, Jackson Mthembu

COPE's MP

MaNtuli in the middle, I like the dress. She looks beautiful. So what happened with the rumour that her child is apparently fathered by her bodyguard? Just asking.

Another wife of the President. I like her dress. She looks beautiful!

Another wife of the President

ANC MP

Former President, Mr. W De Klerk with his wife. Apparently Former President Thabo Mbeki was supposed to attend the SONA too but couldn't because he had to be in Sudan. I would have loved to see him and his wife.

Tjo the cleavage!! Bathong!!

Yah neh such breasts expose'

Dali Tambo and his wife

DA Leader and Western Cape Premier, Mrs Helen Zille

They could be DA MPs dunno?

Arthur's family, his son AJ and Chomee. Didn't AJ wear the same outift in one of these events they attend? Anyway Chomee is looking nice shem with Arthur there.

I'm done wondering about how they always crack an invite to the SONA shem phela they always perform in every ANC event so.....

So your thoughts on the SONA? I heard the President mentioning the word "infrastrature" and "economy" everytime in his speech. I still need to read it yazi...

pics, thanks to msn.com ;-)

thanx cheeseoator. Shem our politicians are THE definition of 'faux pass'. Im the most disapointed in lindiwe mazibuko 's weight,i expect better from her. I like Gugu Mtshali, a business woman who holds her own, not obese,if Kgalema becomes president and weds her, we'll have an examplary first lady in a while,im sure she has skeletons, she must hide them good like oCyril naboTokyo. As examplary as we can get mo mzanzi.

I dont like commenting about how people look but Lindiwe Mazibuko should consider losing weight.

Our current "last born" first lady looks the part, but MaNtuli and Madiba okare they are attending some ball room/matric dance kinda function. Nakhona it looks so wrong for first ladies to be showing their fat spejeje elbows kontle, showing of their supposedly invincible bras...hayi man. They should ask Zanele Mbeki for tips.

Angifuni nix ngo MaKhumalo please, she is not into this kinda glamour. Everytime okare ba mo tlamme struu.
