So Khanyi Mbau will have a biography that is going to be written by Lesley Mofokeng the City Press journalist. We know Lesley Mofokeng likes writing about the controversial celebs. I believe he is the journalist that always followed MaBrrr and wrote many controversial articles about her. He is also the journalist that Sophie Ndaba opened up to about her divorce.
I think he thought since people always buy every publication that has Khanyi Mbau on the cover, why not just write a book about her maybe it will sell like Sunday World, Drum, Move, Sunday Sun etc. Khanyi Mabu has also attracted a lot all powerful journalists such as Redi Direko, Debra Patta etc.
Apparently they have investors and a publisher to help make this book happen, which means those investors believe this book will sell because it’s Khanyi Mbau. It’s said that this Khanyi Mbau biography is going to be A Tell All. She will be mentioning names from politicians, business man to entertainment people.
I just hope she won’t be mentioning people’s names just to sell her book. I hope she will be mentioning them because they are really worth mentioning in the book and they are part of her story.
We have read so much about Khanyi Mbau in newspapers and magazines week in week out and she always causes noise like recently with the True Love cover story. We can even say we know everything about her but we don’t know everything.
We know mostly about her love affairs more than anything. So for some reason I think she can write this book for those who have been wondering about her upbringing and background after they have read the shocking stories about her in media.
I think if she is going to start from the beginning of her life, how she grew up until now it would actually make an interesting read than starting from now when she is famous. I think if Khanyi Mbau would be very honest in her book (but we know she comes across as honest in her interviews on TV etc) about everything not just her love affairs with Mandla Mthembu and Thenuis Crous but about her background and how her family feels about all the things she does it might be an interesting read.
I think writing about her upbringing and background, how she grew up and all will also be a good thing for those people who always have questions about her upbringing and background when they read those controversial stories about her. Maybe it might help them understand why she does the things she does since some people believe that the way a person behaves has everything to do with her/his upbringing and background (nb I’m not saying the book should be mainly about her background).
I think when the book is going to get into chapters about now that she is famous we might read stuff that we have read before in magazines, newspapers etc as Khanyi Mbau has done a number of tell all interviews, which is what makes other people say they wont be buying the book.
I hope she remembers everything that she said in those so that she doesn’t say this happened while she said that happened in magazines, newspapers etc, unless she was lying in those publications.
Once upon a time she had a reality show coming up. Anyway are you buying this book or not, why?
Here are other celebs that have books and it’s mostly the controversial type.
Springbok star Joost van der Westhuizen’s biography, Joost: The Man in the Mirror by David Gemmell New biography reveals how lust made rugby star betray his pregnant wife.

Candice Derman is a well-known actress. She was acting on etv soapie Backstage as Stephanie and then later as Blue in Generations. She then moved to join Scandal on etv as Samantha.
She also has a book called “Indescribable”, in which she tells her childhood story of being raped almostly daily by her stepfather. She was on 3rd degree this week talking about.
Maybe we will see Khanyi Mbau on 3rd degree again after her book is done. Apparently it will be launched in August on Woman’s Day.
