Press Release

DISCOVERY PREMIERES IN SEPTEMBER

Bring on Spring with new seasons of Wheeler Dealers: Trading up, You have been warned, and Storage Hunters on Discovery Channel.

Auto expert Mike Brewer is back for the new season of Wheeler Dealers: Trading Up from Friday 5, September at 20:05 on Discovery Channel (DStv 121).   The series will see Mike navigate his way through the culture and idiosyncrasies of the international used car market.

Starting with just 3000 dollars, his mission is to trade his way across the globe, using his dealer tricks to add value to his cars, enabling him to graduate from a cheap hatchback to a super car worth 30 000 dollars. From Australia to the US to the UK, Mike aims to get the best deals for cars.

You Have Been Warned returns to Discovery Channel (DStv 121) from Wednesday 10, September at 20:05 with another fast-paced countdown of the world’s top 20 YouTube home-made science stunts and experiments. With the help of amazing storytelling graphics, we get the lowdown on the biology, physics, and chemistry that made these clips possible.

Each episode finds the cleverest, funniest, most daring, outrageous or just downright bizarre clips, and employs a top cast of the world’s best science experts to unpack and explain them for us.

The hugely entertaining fly on the wall series, Storage Hunters, premieres on Discovery Channel (DStv 121) from Friday, 26 September at 19:10. The show follows auctioneer Sean Kelly as he sells off the hidden contents of storage units.

As some people typically use these storage units to house particular treasured items, a few of them fail to pay rent and stand the risk of owners cutting their lock and selling all of their worldly possessions to the highest bidder. This is a unique glimpse into the winner-takes-all world of storage unit auctions, where the highest bidder has a shot at making a quick profit.

I'm so yawned out by these sorts of series ... it's like History Channel and Discovery have become the same channel, inundated with buy-and-sell shows.
