I'm undergoing a bizarre reality response ... on one hand I'm disappointed that Lindsay's finished because I've been so hooked on it and yet on another it was the perfect length.
Just enough time for Lindsay to drop the bomb about her
miscarriage in Thursday's finale on Vuzu.
I was so taken aback and stumped when she said it that I didn't believe her so I googled immediately and
discovered she's made a sworn court statement that the miscarriage definitely happened. She was involved in a court case over her clothing line and had to explain why she'd disappeared for two weeks so she took a sworn oath about it. Must be true then surely?
It's nuts because I can't see how it could have happened during the filming of the series. I know we didn't see everything but I don't understand how she could have gone back to filming afterwards. You'd think we would have picked up
something.
Also, who was the baby daddy? We didn't see a single dude who she might have liked. I'm thinking it must be someone from rehab.
Whatever the story, director Amy Rice obviously thanked her lucky Hollywood stars when Lindsay came out with it because she knew she'd hit reality gold in that moment.
I was irritated and annoyed by her when she said "I'm so sorry," after Lindsay told her - particularly because of how she handled Lindsay's absence when it happened. I continued to find her commentary bitchy ... - when Lindsay went for that modelling photoshoot and the title came up saying:
- the timing and spacing of "Lindsay arrives on time" was very pointed and bitchy I thought. Am I overreacting or do you think so too?
The trouble is, Amy annoys me so much and yet I've been hooked on the show. Also, as much as I hate to admit it, the series definitely seemed to have a positive impact on Lindsay. When she said she saw herself as being so alone and thought to herself: "Who's going to help her?" - it was very poignant. It was what I've been feeling throughout the series so it indicated that the show resulted in her seeing herself properly for the first time.
In answer to Lindsay's question - the only two people in her life who might be able to help her are the two friends she had over to her apartment for chops. They looked so much more suited to her than the crowd with Euro-accents that we've seen her with before. I wanted to know where Lindsay had met them because they're the sort she needs in her future.
Which includes a movie on Lifetime. She's starring in a Lifetime movie called Liz & Dick that's coming up in December and I'm keen on seeing it:
I've been always been quizzy about her but after the series I've got an added curiosity because it'll give the movie an added perspective. She filmed it in 2012, in the midst of her turmoil so we'll know where she's at while watching.
No date's been confirmed for it - will keep you posted when it is.
