Wowser - talk about bad energy punching an appendix. I laughed and shrieked in delight at Colton's MISFORTUNE - until I caught my breath and realised that his removal from Survivor isn't as positive as I thought in the moment of it happening.
All that appendix pain is nothing in contrast to the pain of the humiliation he would have suffered if he'd been ousted properly. Voted out and
burnt at the Survivor stake for all to see and laugh at. Humiliated for being so unbelievably crap at his "favourite game in the world".
I'm very iffy that this won't get to happen because it would have delivered some justice and revenge. The way he's left now he goes out as a victim, with some Survivors even feeling sorry for him - which is all kinds of wrong.
I suppose it couldn't have happened another way though because things got so appalling and awful in the episode that there was no other way for the universe to respond. Colton was literally attacked by the dark forces he conjured up with Alicia.
The way the two of them behaved towards Christina was
disgusting in every sense of the word. Colton was forced to put his racism aside last week when he targeted Monica but it was back in full force this week, with the added awfulnessness of Alicia as his ally.
The way he screamed at Christina during their reward challenge, the insults he hurled about hating her face, the hectic bullying by him and Alicia - it was all
too much to cope with!! When Christina was trying to get a place to sleep at camp, you could see she wanted to smack Alicia - and should have!!
I honestly don't understand how or why she was so nice to Colton when he got sick. Whether it was an act or not I don't care - she should
never have been nice to him because it means he got away with his behaviour.
Still, I'm pleased she to got to stay - it's the most positive result of Colton's appendix burst. I'm quizzy to see what happens with her because her strategizing was bold and unapologetic. I didn't trust that Jonas and Leif would vote against Alicia so Christina really needed the merge.
The trouble is the merge is also beneficial to Alicia who has waaaay too much power with the girls. It's very troubling that she has an alliance with the girls but I'm holding thumbs the girls see what she's really like and that she finds herself alone. Alone and
pathetic.
I was very tickled when Jeff called her that during the reward challenge - it was classic, especially because he'd already insulted her just before when he said: "Even my seven-year-old nephew could do it better."
It was lovely hearing his words. So fun too - I lurve seeing a host take an attitude towards a contestant and Jeff's words gave me a sense of calm knowing that he
knows what a monster she is.
Another fave moment was Kat not knowing what an appendix is. Ha! It's so crazy that she didn't know I can't get my head around it.
