The biggest Comeback King of 2014 has to be SABC3 soapie Isidingo which clawed it's way back up the channel's Top 10 list this year.
The start of the year saw the soapie battling flailing viewership as a result of multiple timeslot changes in the past and suspect storylines but as the year unfolded, viewership increased dramatically, specifically after the show moved to 19h00 once the World Cup ended, on 1 July.
The move put Isidingo back on top as SABC3's number 1 show. It now regularly outperforms The Bold and the Beautiful, it's main rival on the channel.
In fact, viewership increased so dramatically, it doubled. Ratings plunged to a low of 949,000 viewers in the first week of February this year and by September it managed to strike the 2 million jackpot - which it used to reach back in 2012.
