I think the numbers are up due to the fact that there was no load-shedding on week 23. They'll decline by week 24 and 25.

@show_time I have being thing that generations will lose the number1 spot since week 10 but its not happening .ppl just love sabc 1 shame .wow wat an amazing job rhythm city is doing .ppl are simply over isidingo this days ,they all watch rhythm city .

I wonder if High rollers will be able to steal some viewers from scandal ,because that show just keeps growing week in n week out .

I love Isidingo as a regular viewer and its predicament pains me. Something must be done urgently.

RONDA
12 Jun 2015 21:52

Isidingo's situation is just sad. I see them changing time slots soon. RC has really shaken them. I think with SABC1 blacks are just somehow brainwashed not to change the chaannel even if that show is not of that top qaulity. SABC3 has a lot of good shows that are not watche just coz they on SABC3. Happy for all the eTV local dramas

Hei RONDA, don't use the race card to undermine us, blacks. We are not stupid and gullible as you think. Blacks also watch SABC3 and etv, actually they make the majority of viewership to every channel. We all know that popular shows command a huge loyal following regardless. If a storyline is compelling we will be glued to that show. Isidingo at the moment has been very dull, especially since they got rid of the Matabane family.

Its a fact that sabc 1 has a lot of great quality shows that's why we keep watching .even the repeat of ses'top la is getting more viewers than the original show ,even msholozi street .zaziwa, rise ,sing-off those are quality shows are don't think its brainwashing .sabc3 has always had a problem of not focusing on local content dats y they suffering now .u can't keep buying american shows n expect the majority to watch them .I have a dstv if I want to see dem I will watch mnet .sabc 3 needs more local content period .SA viewers are no longer obsessed with international content just ask Etv .

A few weeks ago Bonang posted on twitter that Afternoon express actually had 1,9 mil viewers. So Where on earth did she get those figures? What was she talking about? Well It look like her show made it to the top ten.

Sorry guys. Im also black and watch some of SABC1s shows. Im just saying that other channels sometimes have better content on a timeslot but they won't be watched coz people are watching the shows they are used to on SABC1

guys dont worry about isidingo cause they are gonna bounce back real so0n, they have new faces on board and their storyline right now is improving. I am watching isidingo as of late n they are uping their game shame. Congratz generations, thingz r realy heating up this winter.

@RONDA....It's got to do with family viewing dynamics, if each person within a family owned a tv set the stats would be interesting. Viewers have different tastes but it's normal to just settle for a program the family is used to, than try other options.

Movies always dominated by Etv.. And AshesTo Ashes has stabilized now, great local production(i love it).
