SA's Got Talent returns to e.tv for a sixth season this Sunday (6 September at 18h05) and introduces two notable new additions.
Most importantly: the moolah has doubled. It increases from R250,000 to 500,000 smackers.
The season also introduces the all powerful Golden Buzzer for the first time, which every contestant will want to hear. Each judge has one chance to press the Golden Buzzer during the audition phase. If a judge presses it during an act, the act will immediately advance to the live semi-finals so it's a Major Pro.
All other aspects of the show remain the same as last season. Tats Nkonzo returns as host and Shado Twala, DJ Fresh and Lalla Hirayama return to judge. 21 acts will be selected for the live semi-finals - which will happen over three nights - and six acts will make it to the finale.
Sunday's premiere kicks off with a combo of auditions from Cape Town, Durban and Joziburg and includes a duo who satirise South African politics and a Tina Turner lookalike (someone save us from the horror).
These are some of the other acts who will warm-up the season:
Tashni Moodley
Mandibsa Gumboot Dancers
Part-Time Vibe
Kool Zet
Edutainment
