3. What’s the symbolic meaning of the maize as one of the first gifts?
Whatever you wish it to be because there isn't a specific symbolic meaning. The maize is simply a decorative element.
4. Is the cake real or is it a prop?
It's real. The show's art department covered it with unedible flowers.
5. Does the cast get paid when their cars are used as props in the background of a scene?
The show always hires cars and doesn't use the actors' cars - in case they break down getting to the venue! These are hired cars that were personalised to give them the characters' personalities.
6. Based on the time reflected in the photos, what time do you think the wedding took place?
The deed was done at 18h00 because people in Venda usually perform these sorts of events at dusk to ensure they avoid the scorching sun.
